My grandfather who passed away many years ago now, was listening to Oliver Green on the radio. He pulled over to the side of the road and gave his heart to the Lord. He was changed instantly! He passed out tracks, talked to strangers about the Lord, and wrote letters to his family telling them about Jesus and imploring the to make a decision for Christ from that day on until the day he went to be with the Lord. Mom said, when he first got saved he would wrap gospel tracks in little pieces of red cellophane paper, twist the ends to look like a little TNT stick, and drive all around dropping them off at the mailbox posts, so they would catch peoples attention when they picked up their mail! (Hahaha, something I wouldn’t recommend for our day) He gave them out at every opportunity all his saved life! He was so radically changed instantly in his car and forever grateful to Jesus. I asked Jesus to be my personal savior at age 12 in the midst of a lot of family turmoil, including the trauma of my mother's death from domestic violence when I was 7. Thankfully her brother was a Christian and helped me understand. He became my legal guardian at age 12. He gave me a little nudge to get me to respond the altar call on a Sunday night in 1982, but I truly wanted to be a Christian. Since then I have strayed many times and lived in ways I knew I shouldn't. Over time I began to realize just how sinful my heart is even in thoughts and attitudes. I struggle but I am thankful that God doesn't kick us out of his family. He spanks us but we always belong to him. I pray often for the lost to trust Jesus as their savior.

Truly, Mr. Greene was a man of God. He's at home with The Good Lord now. I'll meet him one day when I see and bow before my Savior Jesus Christ.
