Ariel and Chael are right, whoever manages Amanda is dropping the ball by not getting her doing more media, she is a true Gem and would be making 10x as much as she does. Generally everytime she is on camera my heart lights up from her infectious energy, i've watched this interview twice 🥰

she may not enjoy all the media, it might be that doing this one week of interviews she enjoys it a lot more. Who knows but i always enjoy seeing her talk with her mouth or her fists.
I agree with all of your comments. Yes she’s under-promoted af! But maybe she wants that...when they were blasting rondas comeback instead of her she just let her passion speak. She’s happy with her own stuff doesn’t need all the external BS that comes with overpromotion.
Amandas energy is really something else, she is amazing. I do agree she is been under-promoted, since i think she wouldn't mind to do more media, she does Instagram stories about her life and farm all the time and always when she is in brazil she does a media run.
This might be her best interview, her energy is different and its because shes very happy, 0 chip on her shoulder, and her english has improved so easier to gauge her personality.

Amanda Nunes is comparable to GSP. They are both happy, respectable/respectful, egoless and loveable champs. And also well rounded fighters. Not to mention they both learned English and can speak it fluently as a second language. Legends!

Bisping is doing a great job at this.
She's so sweet and friendly outside of the octagon but turns into a merciless killer inside it.
Haven't been that interested in her as she was a little bland, but this new version of her is incredible. Good to see her happy and thriving with this amazing energy.

I love how Amanda’s English has gotten so good throughout the years. I feel like Brazilians or foreign fighters for that matter would be more over with the crowds if they spoke the language better, especially rn with Charles or even Jose aldo
I have been thinking this exact thing. She's a true champion. UFC is an American promotion and I think it's the fighters responsibility, especially champions, to learn English. Oliveira needs to learn English, pretty much all of the media speaks English.

@@thetren_station9740 Tbh Anderson silva wasn't the biggest English speaker back in the day and he was insanely over with everyone.
Yeah it's mainly because English is an easy to learn "international" language, and UFC is a global right now so learning English especially for Oliveira would help him to connect with fans not only in US but like Japan, Russia, Poland etc. And not only for UFC but it's advantageous to know two languages in life in general.
Aldo would've crossed into household name territory back in the day if he had been able to speak English properly. It hurt Silva massively, too.
I watched Poirer and Suga interviews then watched Nunes and, by far Amanada was the most engaging... I look forward to her fight!!

Mike Tyson used to say "everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the face". The same logic applies to Amanda, all her opponents know exactly how to beat her before the fight, then they get hit with a punch and off the window goes the plan.

@@McBaube Well Amanda was weird as all hell on this fight. She did nothing and gassed before the second round even started. Something went really wrong during fight camp, it can even be lasting effects from Covid. Studies show around 40% of patients have some sort of lasting effect, some can persist indefinitely.
Also Pena didn't push forward and pressed against the cage and whatnot she traded blows with Amanda and the lioness was just really slow and weak and uncharacteristically inaccurate. Pena's win here is at the same level of Mat Serra beating Saint Pierre.
This woman will go down as the greatest female mixed martial artist of all time, leaving zero doubt. She is sitting here with 2 straps, at the highest level of combat sports begging for a challenge, unreal.

If shevchenko was her size she beats her imo. She almost beat her being smaller.

Nunes did clearly edge her out in their 1st fight, but in the 2nd fight Valentina edged her out. if they fight again, Valentina 100% wins in the octagon & on the scorecards this time. UFC judges have always been trash tho

Wtf is happening to Amanda? She feels like she’s on a rise starting into the ufc. This feeling, excitement, this aura about her is like she’s on a rise to become a champion as a lot of young new fighters have. This is crazy 😂
The way she spoke about that fight with Cyborg. She was getting too comfortable winning at 135 so she wanted to get those butterflies back, that fear, that excitement, challenge herself that’s why she fought her. My goodness me, this woman isn’t the goat due to her strength I see it’s her mentality also.
