Their songs simply never age ... the Timelessness of their music is revealing of their destiny, IMHO. Their songwriting, musicianship, professionalism, talents, passion, charisma, and their extraordinary sibling dynamic, all blend their magic to make these young women a phenomenon that's going to rock the planet. Heed 'The Warning'!! "The Best Hard Rock Power Trio of the 21st Century."🦉🤟⚡🍩👍⚠⚡💥
Yes; this is Art! When I first heard these 3 women I knew they were 1: Great Artists; 2: Great Musicians; and 3: Great Rock Stars. "Choke" has everything in it; including Ale singing. Pau; always a force of nature, definitely evokes water with her incredible drumming here (as does Ale's Bass). When Ale isn't playing the melody line, she locks Pau's drums in; Ale's Bass feels like a rising tidal wave when she does one of her sublime builds. The harmonies are also sublime; these 3 sisters are magic together. Ale is a Contralto with a gorgeous head voice. Pau does amazing emotion laden lead vocals and is a master at harmonizing. Finally, there's Dany, an Alto people think is a Mezzo because of her remarkably warm voice and breathtaking range. Altos have a very similar range to Mezzos, but Altos are richer and fuller in the lower register than Mezzos, while Mezzos are stronger and fuller in the upper range. However, Dany has a crazy range; C♯3-G6. Dany's classified as an Alto because it’s about where her voice is most comfortable. That C♯3 is huge as a Mezzo can't sing that low, and if she somehow could it would be totally breathy and barely audible yet Dany has enormous strength even in the lowest notes of the Alto range. While Dany is an Alto what makes her so special and enables her to sound like a Mezzo is her awesome range expansion. A few years ago many voice experts were critiquing Dany on the grounds that she did not have the purpose, or the ability, to focus on her highest falsetto notes, and if she did, they would be thin and weak. Dany closed all their mouths because her head voice is unusually rich and strong, and she's able to pull up from her chest voice at the same time to enhance it even more. Dany's upper-range in "Choke", and her belted F5's in songs like "Apologize" and "Hell You Call A Dream" are epic. Despite all this Dany is an Alto, but when you can sing into the high-Mezzo range the way Dany can does it really matter? These 3 women are gems. Thanks for the great reaction.
Only song that doesn't quite nail it mix wise is XXI Century Blood. In the Pepsi Center mix posted to youtube: Dany's guitar sounds a bit muddy and too distorted, so some of the clarity and distinct notes are lost, and solo is muted. Also, you can't really hear at all Pau or Ale's backing vocals, nearly completely gone from the mix. Had to really tweak my sound settings to get that one sounding nearly as good as some of the other live performances of it here on youtube.
My personal take on The Warning: They are NOT a 3 piece. Yep, there are 3 main instruments in the guitar, bass and drums. Then you add in 3 similar, yet so different vocals weaving in and out of each other. And you cannot discount the final piece of the formula: themselves. Dany's absolute charisma (and, of course, Dany Face). Pau's ability to perform behind the kit, providing a visual spectacle like no other. Ale's laid back absolutely cool vibes while she literally struts around the stage giving out select grins and looks to the fans... The reason that nearly everyone believes and agrees that Live is their superpower... because only live do you get the full punch of what these ladies deliver. I also want to shout out to you, Cheezy, and all the other reactors. As a collective, you have brought The Warning (and other bands/music) to people who may never have otherwise seen nor heard them. Thank you.
I know them for a couple of months now (since April, I guess). I'm so glad they're coming to Brazil first time! I've already bought a ticket. So March, next year, I'll be traveling to another town just to see them live. From knowing nothing, to super fan, to seeing them live in less than a year. That's crazy right?
Nice Reaction! The Warning are continuing their U.S. tour on the west coast tonight and working their way up to Vancouver on Oct. 15th where they are going to join Halestorm and Evanescence for 9 shows through Canada. Lucky Canadians!
Yea, their tour rig is mesa & ampeg. Dany has her orange pedal baby built into the case. For all their “publicity gigs”? (Kimmel, MTV, Vivo, etc) they still use their full orange setup.
Still gotta love the Teatro Metropolitan performance, though ... and every other LIVE performance they've played, really. I have yet to see a show they've played, a video they've made, a song they've created, a cover they've done ... I find no bad songs, no poor performances, or interviews, reaction video, etc., that doesn't back up my claim ... that they are, truly ... "The Best Hard Rock Power Trio of the 21st Century."🦉🤟⚡🍩👍⚠⚡💥
Yes and no. The Metropolitan recordings are actually better if you want to listen to the music. The Pepsi one is a better spectacle. A better show. I like them both equally.
So much bass in this mix (I think Ale paid off Beto) and the crowd is like a fourth band member. I love everything from this show and can't wait to see them in February.
i sure like how Ale is expressing some of those bass runs with her body, she has always had unique little cool dance groove but i've noticed she really getting down on some of her grungy sounding runs at the pepsi center, awesome reaction yet again, thanks for sharing!
@@shakkjohnson5701 In the LA shows, she played those bass slides like she was racking a shotgun. Near the end, she raised her bass as high as she could like she was channeling Bon Scott or something. It was awesome.

So much attitude was the first thing I noticed about them, then the harmonics, then the raw heavy bass of Pau and Ali. I love Dani, she is a great front woman with all that eye contact. A good song when your writing it, does come together and flow like a wave.❤
Great observation about how the song "flows" like wave, which unifies the musical theme to the lyrical theme. I never consciously realized that until you pointed it out.
The onstage amps and cabs (which they may have just rented locally) are mainly for the benefit of letting Dany and Ale hear and feel their music, and for those in the audience right up front, since the majority of their sound in large venues goes out through the house PA. 👍😎
She is just using the Mesa cab here. The Orange pre-amp is still on top. I noticed in the recent Festivals in Mexico she had the full half-stack of Mesa equipment (amp head and cab).
They still use Orange at home and sometimes for appearances on media. For example the MTV VMAs show and Jimmy Kimmel Live they were playing with Orange amps. They use Mesa and Ampeg cabinet on tour for the most part. They have DSP orange amp heads, though. I think it depends on how the sound is going to be routed through front of house at the shows. Both Dany and Ale use their speakers for their own reference and feel but also to project. out into the first rows of the crowd who won't necessarily have good coverage from the Front of House PA system in the venue. Sometimes they rent equipment for their performances as it is less expensive than hauling stuff around and so, Mesa might be more available to them and/or at a more reasonable price than Orange. Ampeg "fridge" cabinet is sort of a reference bass speaker for many touring bands.Since Dany uses an amp profile in her Kemper that corresponds to what amp and speaker were used in the studio, that covers the sonic clarity of the lead guitar. Bass isn't quite a dependent on what equipment was used in the studio, and a lot of studios have Ampeg.
yeah they are amazing !!! dany only uses mesa cab but it doesnt go to in front of house its just for her in stage to feel the sound, she actually use kemper profile she aint using amps live but idk which profile amp she uses in th kemper, she mention she profile the exact same rig they use when recording the album but idk what amp maybe the orange custom she has.
The amps and cabs on stage is purely for them to feel their instruments, everything else is through the PA, so they may have switch to get more resonance/vibration, as they would not care as much about the sound.
You can definitely hear the difference that a year of experience makes when you listen to the Teatro Metropolitan concert and then this one. Yes, TM is a great concert, but with the notorious Mexico City elevation, Dany had to fight for those high notes, and I think Ale had to take a breath that she didn’t mean to in her own part. With this performance, they absolutely nailed it.
You're correct- music is a very fluid art form (see what I did there- haha). The Warning do make great use of dynamics in their tracks, verse to verse minor (at times major) changes in how Pau hits, Dany playing bar chords instead of individual notes and Ale's bass keeping her elder sisters in check. From first listen, I have loved the bassline in the second verse of "Choke", or would it technically be the first because after the intro they go into the pre chorus. Fairly certain Dany is still using her Orange pre amp with the Mesa Road King 4x12 cab now.
They use both Messa and Orange. Not sure what determines which one they use for a given show, but I would imagine it probably depends on the venue. If someone knows, please fill me in.
