This is such a banger! I've read in an interview that this gabber version was originally how afterimage sounded on the album but then they slowed it down and made it more melodic - pretty genious to use this version live!

Hot take: IMO the album mix is better than the live instrumental mix, which doesn't mean I don't love it, as I fckn do, although I want them to expand the idea by playing more elements of the og track and then speed it up introducing the remix, it would be perfect
Man, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Justice and have been a hardcore fan since like 2013, but I do wish they let more of the melodic/disco sides of the songs more in the live performances. I've watched several of the videos, and its like maybe 20 seconds of disco-ness, and then straight to the techno. I'm excited to see them and I'm sure I'll enjoy myself at the performance, but idk just my personal opinion.
The day you actually see them you'll be out of words. You are a hardcore fan and you don't understand how massive they are. I watched them live in 2013 actually, best experience of my entire life

Maybe, the parts I'm missing are in other parts of the live show; don't get me wrong I still enjoy the live performances (at least the new ones I've heard from this tour); all I'm saying in my comment is that this album has some amazing disco bits to it that I would like to hear more in the live mixes. I guess a prime example would be in One Night/All Night is they never 'drop' the lovely second chorus that has that amazing melody. It just goes straight to the techno, of which I still very much enjoy, but would like to hear that melody as well. Not sure if I explained that correctly.
This version sounds like it was part of a soundtrack for action cartoons (like ben 10, Teen Titans, Motorcity, Slugterra, Symbonic Titan) or any flash player/Japanese video game! 2000/2010s vibes here.
