Big fan of Steve's work & loved seeing him work on pages of a book I've bought from him! Such a treat
I always hate to hear pros and wannabe-pros say "You must only ink with a brush. Period. Micron pens are WRONG!" because, while i do love inking with a brush, I agree with guys like Mike Huddleston that you should use anything that makes the mark you want. Pens are always derided because some say an artist can only get one line weight with a pen. And that's just not true. In the right hands, a pen can achieve some pretty dynamic lines. It's like with guitars. A cheap guitar in the right hands can sound better and more expressive than an expensive instrument in the hands of a novice. It's all in the hands, dude.
What a fuggin badass. Amazing artwork and humble attitude.
Awesome work!!!
Amazing artist!
Whoa, he's... he's _damn_ good. Awesome art.
Steve Mannion is so COOL!
Thanks for uploading these videos! It's so inspiring to see how the creators do their magic! Absolutely amazing!

Great Insight! Thanks for the post. I want to see more!
Totally awesome!!!
I love Steve Mannion's comics. I could watch him draw for hours. Are there other videos of him?

Love this comic..Order signed copies from Steve a few months ago....
The micro ink pen what size do you use and do you use a thinner one for anything in the background. This video is amazing..
Nice video! Anyone know what size board he's drawing on?

Thanks Everyone!...Adrian, my Mom said I was 2. I'm 47 now.
This video has inspired me.
Hmmm... Maybe I should letter the traditional way. Doing it digital complicates things for me. I will at least make the word balloons traditionally.
I'll try Charles!
it's about time to upload new videos we need more! lol
what paper do he uses?
I’ll have to reach out to find out exactly what paper it is but I know a lot of comic artists like Strathmore Bristol paper. Their 400 series is very nice. You can choose a smooth or rough finish to the paper. The smoother surface gives very clean lines whereas the rough surface can be better for styles that like a little grit.
Steve's comments here are getting flagged as spam? Yeesh.
Amsome inks. I always put a small piece of paper underneith my hand when I'm inking comics. So that I don't smear the ink all over my drawings. I also always ink the panel boarders last.
Yup, ADD Is nonsense. ? Steves art is great..
But Im a weirdo lol
If you're talking about ADHD because that is real
Awesome work!
Steve is one of the sweetest, most accommodating creators I have ever bothered at a con. And an amazing artist.
