This was absolutely in no way even close to what I was looking for when I did my search on youtube, but I'm glad I found it because this is pretty interesting and I'm glad I learned about it before I ever got confused by it :D
Hi Kendra, big fan of your presentation, Just say there wasn't "row level security limitation" and you get implicit conversion message how do you fix it? Is there a video or website it describes in detail thanks!
Awesome job! In-addition to the overall execution plan explanation/insight... I really loved the perspective on how even for a well seasoned individual can also have moments of doubt or sense of SQL/plan confusion etc. And you were real with it!
Holy cow! That's an execution plan if I've ever seen it. I'm an application developer by trade but I'm diving into low-level SQL stuff, so I'm trying to learn about execution plans and how to optimize. Very helpful!
Thanks very much for this, especially the last couple of minutes have made me want to persevere with learning more about execution plans. I have been spinning my wheels with learning query plan analysis the past couple of weeks during lock down and its great to see something that says "stick with it!" instead of "I'm an expert - stand back and be amazed..." from a tutorial...
Not only was the video not a waste, it was *extremely* helpful to here Kendra's breakdown on how to approach an execution plan review, not to mention the positive affirmation of don't give up on the plan, keep going, etc. It's a shame you took so little away from this.
