What’s stopping you from getting studded tires? Or did you get them?
I cycled to North Cape (71°N) in August. Some morning 4°C (39°F). I hope you have a sleeping bag tested for -30°C (-22°F, better if for less) and carry always with you food for at least 2 days. And till you stay on roads I think you may get maybe to the Great Slave Lake. But if you venture into the wild North in winter I wouldn't bet a dime on your hide. Be wise!
And carrying a gun? A 44 Magnum? I hear that grizzlies are more dangerous to cyclists than to hikers, because cyclists come upon them more silent and sudden. And bears don't like this at all
Riding a bicycle on the snow is iffy enough, but riding it on the ice? Has anyone called you "nuts" yet? :).

Warm clothes, boots, socks, snow tires and plan B in case you have an emergency stop with no people for miles and miles around.
