Grayling probably the greatest fish to catch while totting. Andy thank you for advising people about recovery, seen so many just chuck Grayling back and going belly up.
nice vid, this takes me back about 20 years since I loved stick floating light tackle, even the reel I used to have a Daiwa Harrier closed face was perfect for the method, used to end up with a nice amount of fish in the keepnet, big roach, few bream, chub, gudgeon and an odd perch.Really enjoyable way to fish and watching this makes me wanna get back into it.
The record for greyling is 4 pound 4 ounce ( 2009 ) just imagine if they did grow to the size of barbel that would be amazing thanks for the upload nice one Andy may big up MAP ooosshh
all match anglers started as a kid with a rod and reel like the rest of us, they just progressed and wanted to match fish, I,m a pleasure fisherman but have fished a few matches and not done bad in them won one to be honest but I,m just not dedicated enough to be an out and out match angler
As an x match man feeding downstream would be the kiss of death, as you would just feed the next peg. This tactic is on videos a lot. Would like to see better float control.
i was thinking the same you can tell he is one of those match men that fish in the commercial aquariums and would struggle in a river match especially on my local river the severn in shrewsbury
Does it look like he match fishing.........no what a stupid comment there's no one fishing in the next peg. And he would beat you two with one hand tied behind his back
It's 2 foot deep....yes if you were fishing on the trent in say 6ft and decent flow you would feed differently, if you fed level or upstream where he was fishing on this vid the bait would hardly be downstream! I'm a centre pin man myself so total control is a given.
Great video, grew up and been fishing rivers for over 55 years, love moving water.
