- In this week’s Sunday Sitdown, actress and writer Mindy Kaling invites Willie Geist to the set of her hit Hulu series “The Mindy Project,” where she talks about her road from being a “Late Night” intern to starring in her own television show. Kaling also opens up about her pregnancy, saying she’s a little anxious but knows she’s going to have fun as a “dorky mom.”

The Mindy Project deserved more recognition... she was snubbed by all the major awards guilds and Emmys for 6 seasons... I don’t think people wanted her to succeed. She’s so smart and funny, and her comedy is very accessible. Hope she gets love for Never Have I Ever...
I would rather longevity than the awards honestly. So many shows dont get 6 seasons
I agree. She was and is a threat. She will continue to be successful in many ways. Who cares about these stupid awards.
I loved this show. But when she lightened her skin and plumped her lips, she lost my interest.

Ugh! I just love her! I didn't know her mom died the same day her show was greenlit! Soooo heartbreaking but she's soooo strong for pushing through with her dreams!
What a great interviewer...so rare these days. He was just seemed really genuine.
I felt that way too, the part he laughs that genuine laugh...he comes across as ACTUALLY listening to Mindy.
plus i love that he did his research when he asked her questions. he seemed like a real fan of hers.
Please bring back The Mindy Project. If so many shows that are not nearly as good are on then The Mindy Project deserves to come back. In fact I saw so many possible storylines. Even the show itself could go in many directions. The character development was amazing, the comedy writing hilarious & overall just a joy to watch. I don't understand. I bet eventually they will realize how bad her new show "Champions" is & wish they continued The Mindy Project. It could go another 6 seasons at least.

The first two seasons of the show were the best in my opinion. It was authentic yet quirky and we got that side of Mindy we were introduced to in The Office. I feel like after Danny (Chris Messina) left, the show took an unexpected turn and it hasn't been the same since. I hope the ending has the touch we once fell in love with.
imaqinedraqons I agree. It was the chemistry between Mindy and Chris Messina that got me hooked on the show to begin with. Even though I hated the way Danny was written out of the show, I still love when he pops up in an episode!

Mindy is one-of-a-kind. Excited to see her success continue to rise. Just wish she would stop lightening her face. She used to be quite dark on The Office, now she's this pasty dull brown color. I guess what ever makes her happy and but she's smart enough to know that its her talent that gets her noticed. Not her skin tone. Oh well.

ashley sterling it will wear off after she gives birth!! The lips get swollen up when women are pregnant and ankles and other stuff. When my older sisters were pregnant their lips looked a bee stung them. It was hilarious to see them using ice packs .

I heard you're not allowed to get fillers while pregnant, because it's risky. So either it's the pre pregnancy fillers or it's pregnancy swelling. Who knows?

Why is Mindy wearing a wig? She’s been doing a lot of appearances and I knew something was off but watching this video and looking up close it’s because it’s a wig. Is she thinning or losing her hair? Look at her side part at 8:20 and you see it clearly.
