These people who are commenting on your video that are saying you suck at teaching, all are just obviously amateure guitar players. If they were any good or had any experience, they would've completely understood your video. Idk how you figured out these chords but they are spot on and you explained them perfectly. Thanks so much for this, I had been trying to learn it and could hardly find anyone who knew the hot topic version and nobody seemed to explain it as well as you did. Ignore the rude comments, those are all just people who don't know how to play.
Thank You ^_^
Been wanting to learn this for so long...thank you for making an easy to follow video, you’re awesome!
Great job man, much respect
Very helpful thanks!! I think There's a bit more to the bridge but I'll figure it out so mo worries. This definitely got me on the right track. Best tutorial I have found!
No Problem ^.^ Its one of my favorite songs to play
Thank u so much, this is spot on and you’re good at teaching

Thank you for uploading the video tho
Can you give the tabs
Drop C#: EADGBe ----> C#G#C#F#A#D#
is this drop c# ?
Drop b
He actually down picks the entire intro. c: He just alternates between strumming a couple strings to strumming all of the them. Also, his strumming in the intro keeps a constant pace.
2 = anywhere from the low E to the D strings
A = all of them
22A222A2
switch chord
22A222A2
switch chord
22A222A2
And so on!
Youre correct on that; sometimes I just shake things up :P
will these chords be the same on electric ?
BabyCherry323 Hmmm...Well this is an acoustic Lesson but I think itd be more like (read the following as C# G# C# F# A# D# or "EADGBe") : 999xxx 777xxx 121212xxx 777xxx 555xxx for the verse....but the chorus and bridge are pretty much the same. I hope that helps...and that it wont sound weird sound weird hahaha. Honestly, if you want to add the extra bits with the 9x97xx and such that should still be fine...unless you have a second guitar, in which case they can do the higher note. Does that make sense? xD
Where found the chords .....???
+raul ruiz I just learned them visually from watching Vic Fuentes play it
i think your chorus is wrong..
Techincally it is, and technically it isnt. it sounds really awkward, but I have all of the correct notes, just a different inversion so its easier to play. If you listen to the Alternate version, Im pretty sure they arpeggiate the notes, and they match (of course, its half a step up on the album) Vic almost always plays acoustic versions half a step below the tuning the song was recorded in when its just him playing acoustic on his own, except for Hold on Til May I believe. Vic's fingering is x547xxx (C#, E#, C#) to x423xx (B#, D#, G#), and I changed it to x54x3x (still C#, E#, C#) to the same x423xx. As to the part after that, pitch-matching and transposition is pretty easy. I just found the correct power chord, and added the 6 to the 7 on the Gstring (B# to C#). Its correct :)
Reyvan Taunt just admit it dude;)
mike gross that I came up with a way that's exactly the same notes, just easier to play for me? yeah...admitted
