    You should recommend tourists that have a short layover of 8 hours arriving at the airport to use the Metro Only to travel from the airport to the city center to avoid traffic. Metro line M11 to M7 to M2 to reach city center, will take about an hour or a little more, but no need to use bus or taxi to get stuck in traffic. M11 line starts from the airport. Although tourists will need to transfer between Metro lines, I still feel this is the best option. Avoid taxi, bus and Ubers,

      Thanks for that info. We fly into the airport in March and have 8 hours before we fly out (2 adults 4 kids). We don’t have to see anything other than walk around and eat good food. Do I need to go all the way to the city center or at the end of M11 or M7 would provide us that? Thanks in advance

    I agree - if you're on a tight schedule, but have enough time then a tour is the way to go. If you're flying into the SAW airport, you can grab the subway to Kadiköy where you can explore and have some amazing food. If you have time you could hop the ferry to Eminönü, run across (under) the street and see the spice bazaar, then go back. If it's a first time visit, I'd really suggest a tour. You can always do what I did and stay for two months - and really get to enjoy everything the city has to offer!

    Hi there, a big fan of your informative videos.
    I’m planning a holiday to Istanbul soon but a bit hesitant about walking around as I’m almost 8 months pregnant. Can you please provide info about how easy it is to move around or you have to walk alot, accessibility of public toilets and in general situation for pregnant women.
    Thank you ❤

    • @JayeshParekh-os8gb
      @JayeshParekh-os8gb Рік тому

      Please avoid any holiday if you are already 8 months pregnant. You would need to walk a lot, accessibility of public toilets is not that great and also cleanliness of public toilets is a big question mark. Not trying to derail your holiday, but please consider the fact that you may need to take public transportation like the Metro if you are arriving from the new airport which is 54 KM from the city center or may have to spend time getting stuck in traffic if you chose a taxi or a bus. What if there is an emergency? Is Istanbul emergency system as good as the US 911, I am not sure.
