San Pablo Bay fishing for Sturgeon & Striped Bass w/ Ghost Shrimp

- Out trying for sturgeon and striped bass again at the end of January. I have not caught one yet this year. Conditions were a little rough but we still managed. We did not get any sturgeon but did land two stripers. We did get several bites.
Department of Fish and Game came and checked our licenses on the water. We werent breaking any laws so it was a quick check. I am always happy to see DFG.

Good video. I always enjoy chatting with DFW. Yeah you’re not even allowed to target a species unless you have the right tags! Always fish for striper and if you catch a sturgeon release it as an oops 😜

When editing I turn down the music db down because I do know the music is louder then my voice. I will turn it down a little more moving foreword. Thanks again

If I was DFG, sorry, DFW, I would want a bigger boat!!! Even my little town has a nice big boat for our search and rescue. With the cost of a CA. fishing license you would think the state could afford to give them a serious boat instead of a dingy.
Its a little small and I dont know much about boats but I have a feeling that boat kicks butt out there. I have heard the rigid hull inflatable boats are very safe and sturdy. They do very well is choppy conditions. Thanks for checking out the video and making a comment.

It has nothing to do with the money I just dont want to keep a sturgeon this year. I dont know, are you suppose to have tags fishing for sturgeon when you are doing catch and release, they made it seam so? Thanks for checking out the video and making a comment!

@@ChrisPfish2 I think you are supposed to have tags. They were being kind. Plus the tag information goes to the management and monitoring of the species. Tight lines.
Tags required even if catching and releasing, lucky you in not getting a ticket. Need to record your releases.

No they didnt ask for any documents besides my fishing license. I forgot about that. Looks like its 35 years and younger for this year. Hopefully the fee for it goes to a good cause but I doubt it. Thanks for checking out the video and making a comment!
Yep taking my boating course too. I’ve read up on it and it says if you get caught without the boating license the judge will just make you take the course. Have you to seven months to take it which is plenty of time. Haha. Always watching your videos, maybe one day we can link up and go fish for sturgeon!
