Well, the name "Erikson" is not norwegian either. If she had been danish or norwegian it would've been spellt "Eriksen". She is probably of swedish heritage, since the surname is spelled "Eriksson" here when its not americanized.
I love fernet. If you haven't tried it, it's like a better version of Jagermeister, and I love Jagermeister. Rich, lots of herb flavor, and a little spicy. The licorice/anise taste is very mild.
How do I get a hold of vice to recommend them the restaurant I work at I would love to surprise the chefs at the bull valley roadhouse by getting them there own chefs night out, I'm an avid watcher of this segment on vice and I feel like they would be perfect for this
Why are hipsters so into Fernet Branca? I think it's mentioned in the St Johns cookbook and since that's a Shoreditch institution and a Mecca for chefs is that where the joy of it originated?
+SethHesio Well, a bunch of herbal liquers(Fernet Branca, Fernet Stock etc.) have traditionally been used as digestive aids during heavy meals etc. Some liquers like Underberg are made with the role of being digestifs specifically. I suppose that's why they're featured so often on the Chef's Night Out-series. As for hipsters drinking them, I wouldn't really know. The only two guys I know of who regularly drink Fernet Branca are two black metal musicians who are as far from a hipster as anyone could get without going into outer space in a rocket. Looks-wise as well as sensibilities-wise, some intense scarred misanthropes those two. They drink it mainly during recording sessions or as a hangover cure though.
That's where I first heard of Fernet Branca, in Fergus Hendersons cookbook as part of a hangover cure cocktail. It is definitely a liquer preferred by hipster chefs it seems! Not as ubiquitous a beverage as PBR however!
SethHesio It would appear so, indeed. It is a good hangover cure as long as you can keep the initial shot(and shock, depending on level of hangover) down.
+macaroo90 Isn't she part japanese though? They ate a lot of japanese food at the restaurant and she said it reminded her of her childhood. I just figured thats why she said kanpai
Look at the paltry size of these "Family style" dishes in San Francisco. I know the big man was famished. He probably fought tooth and nail with Maya for every bite.
+Cybergig00 The investor took over and apparently dumped the name. I've been to Hapa Ramen at the ferry plaza a bunch of times and it was really good. Miss the fried chicken ramen.
Tom Brady Just because you have lots of money that doesn't make things like this a good use of it. I doubt they'll make back the money they spent on making this video.
gabriel ureta I can't admit something that isn't true, I know what I'm talking about. Usually videos get $1 every 1000 views, so they got about $40. You really think they spent less than $40 on all that food? YOU'RE the one who has no idea what they're talking about. Even if they get a million views on this video (which is doubtful) I think they spent more than $1000 on all that fancy expensive food so they still lose money.
+MrP86 You drop this same comment in every fucking Munchies video. Either you love pigeonholing people, or you're some masochist who keeps coming back to videos you hate.
That's so sweet of them that they brought bottles to the hosts! I think that's the first time I've seen that on CNO
and im just here... watching this... eating a peanutbutter sandwich
+Vaak Klaas and am just here drinking beer and thinking to call chinese takeaway
+Vaak Klaas leftover rice and cereal
+Vaak Klaas canned chicken noodle soup
Vaak Klaas my own cum from the food porn I watch
I love hearing her talk about food and they really enjoyed themselves.
This woman looks like shes out of a french novel.
+mr17krm interesting observation as she looks very norwegian
+Xavier Toussaint Depends on how many norwegians you've seen.
Erikson is not a french surname...
Robert Trujillo I do not think you understand what "looking like" means. A norwegian can look french, and vice versa.
Well, the name "Erikson" is not norwegian either. If she had been danish or norwegian it would've been spellt "Eriksen". She is probably of swedish heritage, since the surname is spelled "Eriksson" here when its not americanized.
She is gorgeous, wow.
+rihahari I didn't like her, and disliked the video too
+rebghb she's boring-ish
+Chri U Chri that's a nose piercing
+Chri U Chri idiot...
+Chri U Chri lmfao, do you need a hug?
I'm supposed to be doing homework. This is my 4th Chef's night out.
Another great Chef's night out!
All three of those restaurants look great.
Did he saber that with the cage still on O_o
i don't think it matters? because when you saber champagne, it breaks off before the cork anyways...

+occoldjosh Great opportunity turned into a way of life, i wish i could cook :[
these videos make me feel poor..

Lmfaoooooooooo was just thinking that before this video
that profile picture matches this comment so perfectly `
She's beautiful on so many levels.
This Vice stuff is so alien from my culture, with all it's hipster nuances and what not. That's why I like it, it's a good culture shock.
So one of very few female chefs in Chef's Night Out and of course it's a pastry chef.
hipsters: steal everything. They are the shang tsung of the industry... seriously shooting dice?
Are you full yet? Really great job...love you guys.
She keeps saying the food at that first spot was "so simple"... How? How tf was any of that simple? 😂
beers in a pickling jar.. that's sooooo cool
Lovely lovely food..
Chef's Night Out in SF and no broccoli pizza? Pscht!
Great episode, plus I enjoy seeing Mr.Nakano. :^)
She is one nice geisha
She abides with fernet. 10/10
I love fernet. If you haven't tried it, it's like a better version of Jagermeister, and I love Jagermeister. Rich, lots of herb flavor, and a little spicy. The licorice/anise taste is very mild.
mmm, Jagerbombs.
Give her a show :]
i was on a diet untill i watch this video.
Does anyone know the brand of the flatware they used in the first restaurant they went to?
How would anyone know that
+John Dearborn

I DONT WANNE BE ALONE IN MY BEDROOM. ON THE INTERNET, WAITING TO SAY 'HI'.
People in san francisco do love waiting in lines.
first time dice shooting was on munchies
a quintessential sf video. talking about waiting in lines and drinking fernet.
Was that a product placement by KitchenAid or do professional chefs really use their mixers? Does anyone know?
People love waiting in line in Marin also; Sol Food Puerto Rican Cuisine.
Cool chef's night out hehe..they arent not that wild or highh like other chefs/episode hahaha
She is gorgeous.

Salmon collar boom!
Can't say they seem like people I would want to hang out with
How do I get a hold of vice to recommend them the restaurant I work at I would love to surprise the chefs at the bull valley roadhouse by getting them there own chefs night out, I'm an avid watcher of this segment on vice and I feel like they would be perfect for this
Need to show more female chefs!!
She's amazing! Her makeup also makes her look dangerous haha
Wow.....
Salmon what? Never could catch what they were saying.
" YO THIS IS FUCKIN STUPID GOOOD". Stop
she had a booger in her nose the entire time. why didnt anyone tell her...
Look carefully, it's a nose piercing stud.. It's jewelry.
Is it just me? or are these the same hipsters that Munchies just keep using and rotating to shoot Chef's Night Out? I just can't tell anymore.
Why are hipsters so into Fernet Branca? I think it's mentioned in the St Johns cookbook and since that's a Shoreditch institution and a Mecca for chefs is that where the joy of it originated?
+SethHesio

She should join Action Bronson on Fuck That's Delicious since she says Fuck all the time.
it's a prerequisite for being a hipster
lmao why tf are they throwing dice at some random posh restaurant ... rich ppl make me laugh
Poor people make me gag
I smell the gentrification of the Mission District all over again.
Interesting Korean influence.. also no night out is complete without soju ;)
+David Y I kinda cringed when she said 'kampai!' Nonono, it's 'gun bae'
Actually it would be best to say 'we ha yeo' gunbae is still a variation of kampail...
Welp, as a full blooded Korean I have never heard that before. Only other thing me and my friends say is 'drink shekki!"
hahaha it's the real korean version of saying 'cheers' (위하여)
+macaroo90 Isn't she part japanese though? They ate a lot of japanese food at the restaurant and she said it reminded her of her childhood. I just figured thats why she said kanpai
beer in a mason jar, euuurrgh
The nation of Australia would like you to know thats not pavlova.
she is super cute
They're eating that and I'm eating hand made noodles with essence of pork with oregano...
Ramen...I...I'm eating ramen 😖
She's like a cross between Olivia Munn and Jennifer Lawrence.
thought this said chief keefs night out :(
That is the single most smoking-hot Hapa chick I've EVER seen. Ever. From one Hapa to another. :)
Look at the paltry size of these "Family style" dishes in San Francisco. I know the big man was famished. He probably fought tooth and nail with Maya for every bite.
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO HAPA RAMEN?!?!?!?!?!
I was planning on going there and that shit is closed. smh.
+Cybergig00 The investor took over and apparently dumped the name. I've been to Hapa Ramen at the ferry plaza a bunch of times and it was really good. Miss the fried chicken ramen.
+Cybergig00 Orenchi Ramen opened up and that shit is amazing.
@11:44 whaaa hair down like a champ...that is a weight you are rocking.
What the hell does she say on 5.45??
how do these chefs afford all that ?
Only in San Fran will they spell Brisket as Briscuit....like a biscuit lol, gtfo hereeeee =)
she looks like a chef version of sasha grey.
I fuckin' hate fine dining!!!
What they didn't show is how much money they wasted.
+tbone57OO By they I meant Munchies.
+haloShAdOwSnIpE It was a good video and they get paid for the views so how is it a waste ?
Tom Brady Just because you have lots of money that doesn't make things like this a good use of it. I doubt they'll make back the money they spent on making this video.
+haloShAdOwSnIpE Confused by you care so much?

Those guys said nothing at all during that first restaurant
Was wondering how the waiters never had to write down orders but then realized that this is cali and they're probably all wannabe actors.
hipsters
+MrP86 for some reason beeing hipster and chef is a thing, I have no fucking idea why.
+MrP86 You drop this same comment in every fucking Munchies video. Either you love pigeonholing people, or you're some masochist who keeps coming back to videos you hate.
Strand I just like annoying people like you
+MrP86
hitlers
Strand lol ! You mad bro ?
SOJU? ㅋㅋㅋ
She looks a bit like Maya Jane Coles

Tom Chamberlain

I want to marry Maya.
I hate head bobbing.
intentional profanity decreases my appetite
I'm glad I don't drank
Lol briscuit subtitle ....
And nobody says shit about her assazing personality??? Wooahhhh
I don't ever want to be lead by someone who's idea of, "something I always want to eat", be vegetable centric. No thanks.
She's attractive but why does it sound like she ends all her sentences in question marks?
She's charmingly awkward.
Jennifer Lawrence 2.0
she kinda looks like Karen O
True
Find more interresting people to do features on. Feels like hipster central over here.
seem to do great things, why do you seem so unhappy?
baseball caps at dinner. ugh.
lol
Okay she wears all black and use red lipstick..she looks like gothic and 'the veronicas style hahaha 🤣😅
Can't americans talk without saying like every other sentence?
+Loo TheLoo It is mostly californians who have the tendency to say like in almost every sentence.
Chinese guy wants to have this life, sad.
