Man, i wish Zero Ranger and this were more well known.. games like these do far more interesting and unique stuff with the medium than most modern AAA safe games

0:45 is where this song REALLY starts to shine, IMO. Chills down the spine. Those Jeroen Tel arpeggios make the difference -- they turn a very sad-sounding melody into a starry sky, and pave way to the beautifully played noir jazz section.
Speaking off, I'm in awe of 1:53 -- just how *seamlessly* that sad-ghost melody transitions into the trio of low-fidelity double bass, piano and hungover radio.
I'd give a lot to see a screenshot of this tune in the DAW / music tracker, eebrozgi. You really went all out on this soundtrack and it shows.

Reminded me more of earthbound. Probably the soundfont. Yume Nikki's loops are ethereal, and so is this. But this is more videogamey and less dreamy.

I was on the hunt for this track after watching a playthrough of this game. While watching, out loud, I went "WOAH" and rewinded after hearing the lick at 2:50. Rarely does a soundtrack hit trigger my jazz-riddled brain like that. I'm now obsessed with this soundtrack.
