Great video. I was there in august 2019. And just booked for august 2021. Can’t wait to go back especially after watching your video. I’d love to chat with you about it sometime. I tell you. What a difference in water depth from my experience. We could barely stand in water. Up to top of our chest waders most places
Dan Schinkelshoek: Thanks Pal! I wish I would've started taking these types of trips sooner. Spent the prime of life saving when I should have been doing!
@@paulnoble684 what time of day did you get back to Carrie lake after the trip. Trying to guess where to get a motel on return trip. Baring weather and other unforeseen issues!
@@cliffordaarons8227 It was during the little break from Covid so they were short staffed and the plane was several hours late. I'd say we were back to Hearst around 8pm. We were super tired so made it only to Kapuskasing and got a room at the Park Inn.
looking at doing this trip. Probably booking for the 2025 season. So jealous of you guys!! looks amazing! I was wondering how long you threw mouse patterns? this will be a primary target of mine to catch some trophies on mice patterns.
@nicknash331: Once I found out they were on mice that's pretty much all I fished. I developed an easy to cast pattern called the Gurgler Mouse. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/W7RjnWcF8HU/v-deo.html
@@paulnoble684 right on!! ive been mousing the upper Manistee river in my home town in northern Michigan for a few years throwing simular patterns. thanks for the info!!
What a special place Sammie! I really enjoyed the experience. The Polar bear was a bonus to the whole experience. Have to say one of my favorite spots was the overnight tent at the confluence of the Aguatuk but so many great nights its hard to put one above the other.
Did the float 2018 end of August, water seems like it was identical trip. Saw 8 polar bears when float plane picked us up. We had 3 days with over 150 catches each.
If you love fishing brook trout don't do this trip. Did it in 2018 and haven't been brookie fishing since . Too spoiled by 20 + trophy fish a day on a mouse. Currently saving to do it again
@@nickstojanovic8868 The current price for the plane ride and canoe is 5450.00 Canadian per person I suggest 10 days of food and drink . If you don't own a 12 gauge you will need to buy one. You are in Polar Bear country and have a pretty good chance of running into one . Gas to and from Hearst Ontario . 2 night of lodging Day before and day out.
Trip of a lifetime, thanks for sharing!!!
Canadian Gemstones: Yes, the bucket list is one item shorter!
Awesome video
@Bruins-vq5ey: Thank you; glad you enjoyed!

Excellent video! Loved the drone footage. Too bad you lost it.
Bruce Jansen: Yes, the drone loss was a bummer but we all stayed healthy and happy!
Very cool

I too need to join Brookies Anonymous!
You mentioned saving, How much would a trip like this cost everything included?
