    yeah thanks for this. I forgot to style my hair before work and ran into a cvs, and grabbed whatever.. it was Murray's pomade. never used it before, I took a shower and it was still in my hair. forgetting its oil based. still looks good though. I'll look into the other pomade alternatives when I'm running low. 🤙

      1 is exposure through the hair channel so more people know about their brand
      2, they keep a % of the profit of the BluMaan pomade for the first 3 months..
      good question though ;)

    please make your pomade come in a 100 gram (3-4 Oz) jar because with pomade you just need to use a little more and if it comes in these small 50 gram (2 oz or something) packages it will be way to expensive.

    It's actually pretty easy to get rid of the build up from oil-based pomades by using a conditioner.

    • @kindeep
      @kindeep 8 років тому

      whaaaaaat?
      conditioner? man... wtf
      a normal conditioner does not do any cleansing work. just 'conditioning'

    • @conanchi6564
      @conanchi6564 8 років тому +1

      +Kindeep Singh Kargil dude I'm saying this based off my experience and the vids of other youtubers. One of the most famous degreasers is actually austie's 3 minutes miracle conditioner.

    • @joeboxerrr
      @joeboxerrr 8 років тому

      +Kindeep Singh Kargil the oil in conditioners loosens up/breaks down the oil in the pomade, so if you leave conditioner in for a while, you can wash most of the pomade out

    Only some oil based pomades are hard to take out of your hair. Products like Murrays are a pain. However, it really depends on what type of weight you choose medium and lightweights are relatively easy to come off in the showers and heavys are harder. But shampoos dont work too well. Instead of using shampoos to wash out oil based pomade your should use conditioner and leave it in for 5 to 10 minuted before you shower. Condition works better than shampoo for removing oil based pomades.

      I see it s been a few months but i feel i should answer either way, maybe it helps.
      I personally don t recommend hair products in general since i find the natural look to be superior in all ways but that aside:
      Pomades are the worse, water based or oily based same thing, unless you like that oily looking slickback there s no point to consider this, unless it s the unorthodox pomade type, those help you get away a bit more.
      Hope it helped

    reuzel heavy hold is almost impossible to style. unless your style is slicked straight back tight to your skull. then it's perfect. i'm thinkin i'm dialing it down to the medium, and i'm gonna pick up some water and UO water based pomades to try.

    • @chocolategoose7350
      @chocolategoose7350 6 років тому

      Late response but maybe I can still help? When applying pomade get a fingertip amount and drag it across your palm. Then rub your hands together to create heat and that will smooth any clumps and have even product across your hands. Really rub it into your hair, like you are applying shampoo. I recommend doing one more fingertip amount in the hair. Then style.
      If this doesn’t work then either your pomade doesn’t have enough hold for your hair or the product is just bad in general. Throw it out and search around online for a better pomade.

    • @chocolategoose7350
      @chocolategoose7350 6 років тому

      Costel Coaie your hair should be damp. So wet your hands in the sink and run it through your hair in all directions. Do this a few times and you should have damp hair. Don't make your hair dripping wet though.

  • @tastymuffinss

    3:11 this has been a huge issue for me when it comes to pomade. Ive always styled my hair up and back kind of like Johnny Bravo but in highschool I had to get my haircut short and maintanable becuase everytime Id style it like I typically did the pomade would get on my skin and make me break out really bad. You need to brush the left side of your hair down more, unless the camera is flipped then it’s right side, the volume doesn’t match

    I got a question. I tried pomade few times. I tried the string hold and regular from American crew and my issue is my hair does not stay down. I comb and comb I tried adding more less so on nothing worked. Any advice?

      alanlancer008 By no means am I a hair expert, but I would recommend adding trying to add some volume. If your going for a comb over or slick back, this will look even better. Also, when I go for a style like this, I use Mr. Pompadour peppermint pomade. It washes out with just water, applies and styles super easily, and has a good hold. Hope this helps

    Ingredients: Deionized Water, Mineral Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Hydrigenated Castor Oil, and so on... (Product: FiX Shine and Define Pomade of Bench Philippines)
    Can you consider a wax with those ingredients as unorthodox water-based pomade? :)
