This came out so beautiful and elegant. I really appreciate the graphics which make this complex piece easier to understand! It's so refreshing to see a craft project that really requires brain power and time with room for creative twists.
It looks better than some I've seen sold online. I'll be trying this over the next couple of days for my 20's themed Xmas party, not interested in purchasing a specific flapper dress I'll never wear again. Hope I can work it out.
Love this idea! I saw a similar top made out of gold chain and had been thinking of making one out of some turquoise seed beads I have. This video is great inspiration!
Hi all, I've created a blog post with diagrams and some notes on how I assembled the top if you want more information: www.amyplante.com/art-witch-notes/diy-pearl-cami-top
Thank you for taking the time to do this. This is the best video I've found on this topic. Please can you repeat it perhaps more slowly with a neutral background please? Thanks with all my heart❤
I'm working on a blog post to share my exact pattern, but in the meantime, here is a tutorial that shows the beadweaving process step by step: www.goldenagebeads.com/blog/beadweaving-tutorial-how-to-do-horizontal-netting-stitch.html I basically did this technique but with bigger beads. It's kind of one of those things that you have to physically try it with your hands to understand how to work with and adapt it.
UPDATE! I made a video to supplement this one with more detail on the tutorial - check it out: ua-cam.com/video/ktbDTKroiH4/v-deo.html
that's a great idea! I will make the overdress with this tutorial and wear at the 1920s party!

I'm so glad you like it! It is one of those things that is hard to explain, but easier to understand when you physically do it.

You could definitely make a chain version with the same technique using jump rings instead of connector beads! Good luck on yours!
I'm having trouble at the start like how many beads do I start with, the introduction isn't very detailed 😭

Did you really use more than 3000 pearls for this top? 🙂
I don't think so, that sounds like too much haha
