I'm like 20 years out of college and happened upon this video. This makes me want to be a student again! (Or, maybe even work at Caltech!) Nice job! Love the inclusion!

I worked at Caltech a few years ago. They are challenged by having a diverse campus. It as months before I met a student of color who was not an international student. But there are great people there. Eva is awesome and doesn’t get enough praise, or support. If you choose to go here use the resources of the diversity center.

I don't know if things have changed since then, but I think that the class of 2023 seems relatively diverse from what I've seen. Talking to other people who were recently admitted, the student body seems to not be super homogeneous. Maybe I've only interacted with a few people, but there seems to be a male to female rato of around 1:1 and quite a few underrepresented minorities among the admits. Again, I could only be interacting with a few people, but the diversity level doesn't seem too bad.

2:05 there is nothing "diverse" about selecting the cream of the "intellectual and competent" crop. failing to understand that means the school is losing its way!

*this is absurd; this video is an abomination!*
someone is co-opting the school for their political agenda; there is nothing in science, mathematics, computation, or such that selects for "skin color." and there is nothing diverse about selecting the cream of the "intellectual and competent" crop. *again this video is absurd.* obviously if you adhere to rigorous selection standards, you will attract from every corner of humanity. no one expects anything different; this video appeals to the sensibilities of cretins that did not know that there are brilliant people anywhere. i only wonder what form of pandering is next for caltech?

      ...
Affirmative action isn't even a thing in california, yet you are complaining about people reaching there dreams? Of you think that picking people of color means picking people who are undeserving, you are blatantly wrong.
