Eeeeekk!!! we LOVE this country so much - and the easy camping is to die for 🇪🇪🤍We thought that the USA had pretty good camping policies with all of the BLM land - but Estonia's 'freedom to roam' polic is UNMATCHED. Hope you've all had a great week!
Beautiful video and insightful! Thank you. We are visiting Europe after helping a new school open in Lviv. We are in Krakow for one month, then we will be in Tallinn for another month while I apply for a Digital Nomad Visa. Estonia looks amazing!!
Love from Estonia! You guys seem so nice and sincere! Exactly the people we need in Estonia. We'd be happy to have you. Permanently. I mean, you don't get all 4 seasons hard-core anywhere else.
Thank you but we're actually gone now, we didn't go to Saaremaa this year (although we loved it last year!). It must be someone else renting Tibu now :)
So not sure if you still have the jeep but they have a plug in them where you can plug in a regular cord ( an ac outlit) and it would be able to charge your cameras!
Just read a summary of Estonia's freedom to roam policy and that type of thing should be implemented everywhere. I'm curious to know how the campsites and wilderness were left litter and garbage wise. (I think that's a huge contributing factor to some regulated areas) unfortunately. Also Nick smart letting Raychel drive the Jeep, the roll cages on those things are really solid so you'll be finee 😅. But I bet driving a jeep that (to me felt like driving a large toy car and very nimble/very loose steering vs ambulance which I'm guessing is tight and boat like. That bog looked epic though
Isn’t the Freedom to Roam thing so cool? The campsite we were at was so clean. There was even a shed-like structure filled with dry firewood for anyone to use and a chopping block for cutting more and leaving it for the next person. I was talking to an Estonian friend and she was saying that she was shocked by litter on the ground when travelling to USA national parks, it’s not really an issue in Estonia. But I think that largely has to do with the population difference. There are only 1.3 million people who live in the entire country. And yes the Jeep was a bit weird to drive!!
@@nickandraychel it should be implemented everywhere although people don't treat nature properly (even to today's standards) and I think limiting public Access is the only way to mitigate the damages. Just because a place like America where the population is larger, shouldn't really give people a pass especially since Estonia's a fraction of the size. There is this place in upstate New York where at the beginning of the trail the river is littered with crap and garbage from tyres to wooden dressers. (I was kinda hoping to catch someone dump something and give em a piece of my mind when I was there) But the camping culture sounds very homey where you were staying.
@@nickandraychel A lot of the campsites are also cleaned and refilled with firewood by the goverment (the sites that are on national parks) or by local municipalities.
