What a lovely variety of stitching you have 😊. I'm impressed with all your embroidery pieces. I also belong to a guild and have started branching out but my first love is cross stitch. Great start on the penguin doorstop, I thought about doing it but remembered all the other projects I have...
I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. You are so talented, and I really enjoyed seeing all your different handwork. I also had no idea we had these classes available in NZ. Perhaps I've been living under a rock.
A wonderful wip parade, loved seeing it all and such a variety too. I wonder if the issue with that Gothic Blackwork Temp sal is the 18 count fabric? That is a fairly small count so it makes sense that detail would get lost. What count did the designer suggest? Loved seeing your embroidery work too, definitely something I want to branch into. Happy New Year and looking forward to following along with your progress this year ❤
You may have something there Zeb. I looked all through the pattern and it doesn't recommend a thread count anywhere. I looked back on her website and the original was actually done on 14ct although she says it can be done on any count. So this may be my problem! I'm going to email her and see if she can offer some advice.
@Thestitchbirdsnest I find sometimes designers can get it wrong or make mistakes in their charts, even the long time experienced ones. 14 count sounds about right but good lord thats a lot of fabric for a pattern that size. Maybe do a test stitch on 16 count to see if it's better? Otherwise, if you don't want to invest in another piece of fabric, would another option be stitching the elements you like and leaving off extra that would make it look too busy?
Lovely to have you back. Some really nice projects. The Liberty quilt is just fabulous, look forward to following your progress on it.
Thanks! It's good to be back and I'm looking forward to finishing it! It really is going to be a gorgeous piece when it is all done
No way are you boring. You do some amazing pieces. I love seeing your progress.
Oh thank you! I really appreciate it

Thanyou so much. I think we all have so many unfinished projects! its always so tempting to start just one more...

Perhaps Pattern Keeper is telling you the remaining percentage instead of the percentage completed.
unfortunately not! but that was a good idea to check.
