This Chapter has been a wild ride, and we've had to overcome a LOT of hurdles when creating these videos (like no Creative Royale Island, Creative bugs, and real-life matters with the Team). Whether you're an og fan, or new, we thank you for being here! And we hope you enjoy our movie for the season of Absolute Doom! Now... Chapter 6, here we come...
It was far from easy to adapt the entire season of Absolute Doom, especially writing around the Doom live event, trying to set up Ch6, etc... We also wanted to include as many lore-faithful cameos as possible! Both Marvel, and Fortnite characters.
With Chapter 5 now concluded, Ch6 - S1 is in production, and main episodes will continue, but we want to move on to new projects. Did you catch the very, VERY end of the post-credits??

And you guys just keep twisting the knife on me for reminding me about Emilie. Also I love the choice of music for the end credits. Caught me off guard when I heard the Star Guardians theme.

this is the greatest finale of chapter 5 i have ever watched.
when i quit playing fortnite around the end of chapter 2, i was done with fortnite like i didn’t care about what they added or whatever until they announced they’re bringing back the og szn in 2023, i got back into it for a bit but it didn’t stop there cuz i got back to fortnite and played the entire of chapter 5.
there was that one tiktok video of hope’s backstory and it led me here, all the lores, all the chaos and everything, it led me here into this channel. i will never forget in the myths and mortals finale where jones broke hope’s heart when he confessed he doesn’t want to date, i was so stunned after what they went through and even MORE stunned when hope and rust are dating in the beginning of the wrecked premiere.
ForShorts, despite the long wait, y’all did an amazing job after hard and difficult times, y’all made sure to keep your fans happy and entertain. i know y’all got a lot of work for chapter 6, sure it might take a while but we know it will be worth it.
one more thing, i was bummed out that hope x jones is no more despite how bad i want them together (but hey, who knows in the future, they end up being together). can’t wait to see hope and jones in chapter 6!

Simply amazing, marvelous even; absolutely fantastic finale to Chapter 5. Also an Inception reference in 2025????? VA's are great as usual (especially Emma Frost). And oh man, the Mysterio scene reminding Hope about Emilie is jus hits you in the gut. The team has perfectly condensed the Season 4 storyline, along with Hope's character development in an hour! I mean wow. Can't wait to see Chapter 6.

This was an amazing finale. Especially the parts with beating Doom and the other supervillains and it makes more sense without Ch 2 Remix being involved.
Looking forward to seeing Ch 6 Season 1. I did the story quests for Spirit Realm and I can’t believe that the Zero Point returned too.

Hey, everyone, lead writer Ryuji here again! I hope you all enjoyed our Chapter 5 Finale! Our previous lead writer, CriminalCJ came back to write this episode while I focused on the upcoming Oni Hunters movie- do like the way we wrapped up the story? Let us know in the comments! From the entire FortShorts team, thank you all for your continued support! We literally cannot keep doing this without you!
I wanted to bring up some stuff here regarding the story. As most of you are aware, in my writing, I wanted to pair Hope and Jones together. My entire plan for the chapter revolved around it, actually. Their growing relationship was meant to be the emotional core of my take on the storyline- Jones would finally be moving on from his past tragedies, with Hope being there to help him become the hero he was meant to be. In fact, our Wrecked Season's last episode was meant to end much differently, with Jones realizing how much he needs Hope and asking her out on a date in the middle of the final fight, as a tribute to the Will and Elizabeth wedding scene from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. It's the reason why Wrecked's first episode starts with a remix of the song "The Glory of Love", and why Emilie's answer at the end of Ep1 talks about wanting them to be together.
It all fell apart with one word. "Kiddo". (sighs) Apparently Epic wanted a different relationship between them. FortShorts prides itself on sticking, for the most part, to the source material of Fortnite, taking careful liberties that still carry the spirit of the game's story. So, I had to toss the plan I'd been invested months of writing and planning into out the window and rewrite the Wrecked finale. I have my own arguments for them still potentially being a couple, but because I am bound to the canon, I had to demote the relationship down to 'close friends'.
That being said, I think we still were able to tell a decent story. In the end, Hope still got to have that dance she wanted with Jones, even if it's under different circumstances than she originally wanted. (And it's also a nice callback to Captain America's story in the MCU, I think.) Still, I thank everyone who loved the Hope x Jones ship while it lasted- I've always wanted to write a romance story. At the very least, I got some practice in for when I eventually write my own original one. Hope x Jones is officially over. Who knows what the future holds, though? Perhaps new relationships are in store for Hope and Jones in future, even if it's not with each other... or, Epic might change their minds? (I'm really huffing the copium now, aren't I?) I'm just happy there were people that supported it- it means my writing is reaching people. Thanks, everyone.
Now that Chapter 5 is finally wrapped up, I'm going back to finishing this Oni Hunters movie! See you on Oninoshima!

I figured that was the reason. Also a vocal part of the fandon did not like to ship them and started targeting those who support the ship. It was a nice run and I'm glad I stuck around until the ship sunk.
Eh, I’m still willing to ship them, even if them being a couple isn’t bound by canon.
I hope you are able to write your own project on them later on down the road if you still want to in the future. Besides, going slightly off canon can lead to more creativity and interesting plot elements.
Overall, you don’t have to be bound by what official Fortnite lore puts out. However, I understand that in the end, it’s your choice to want to continue this or not.

Maleficent didn't show up on the island until after Doom was banished, so that wouldn't have happened.

A very good movie you did it again fortshorts but I do have one question if you do see this why you don't do shorts not those kind of shorts I meant like side story continuing the main story but not the alarm like 10 or 5 minutes long short videos to keep continuing the main story and another team can work on the main story it's like two different story lines but a little different the first storyline can focus on like missions or romance or friendship or adventure anythin the second story line could be the main storyline it's like a continuing of the whole main story let me try to say this easier maybe you guys should do short videos and inside those videos could be anything like romance or adventure or friendship or anything and after you're done what part of one of the episodes of the season you uploaded to UA-cam so we don't have to wait every every few months all the time but it does sound a lot of work and that could need more people to work on but it's just a idea??🔥🔥🎉🎉💯💯😎😎

During our Myths and Mortals season, we showed that he survived and was healing alongside Nisha and Montague when Zeus attacked. During the Wrecked Finale, we revealed that they died during this attack, but Hades brought them back later at Artemis' request. Montague is somewhere unknown, while Nisha and Oscar are trying to start new lives.
