The reason why I like the Exodia build is because there's a lot of games where Kaisa can't auto attack because there's Corki rockets, ASol covering the whole map with his E and R, Gangplank barrels blocking you off, etc. So much shit prevents you from auto attacking.
You can actually do damage and 1v9 the game, while ADC Kaisa can't do that.

@@Necrostrikethis is not true, your passive deals 50+% max health dmg as magic dmg, the build actually shreds tanks aswell esp if u have cc on ur team
Except it won’t matter how hard you’re carrying because if you lose, your team will blame you for not being an “actual” adc

As soon as you practice and get used to the AP poke build, it pays off really hard. As you can see, Doublelift changed his opinion throughout the game as he was learning himself the playstyle, what he can and what he can't do. He became exodia.

Here’s a different way of looking at it. What would you rather vs? Me personally ap kaisa because if she doesn’t poke with w consistently until your low then a it’s just not as scary and in solo q your teammates are fighting and dying constantly so having time to poke is almost never a thing. Especially when the players are really good on the pick. I’m only about diamond in na so around diamond ad kaisa was more scary.
Exodia was mostly for competitive in the first place. Yeah, in soloq when people are just running in like donkey's, a more brawly build would probably be better.

not quite the exodia build, part of it is that u delay putting a second point in r as long as possible since you basically have as much range on r as u will ever need lvl 1

@@teoyeowheng6747 so extra points in R only give you extra range to jump in, but since you are playing around your w range, 1 point ult (after the buffs) is enough to get you in when you need to. Which means u can max other abilities after by a couple levels

I think greaves + nashor + shadowflame is better than just pure AP. Having some attack speed and on-hit is good insurance in times when you can't hit W
i made my own runes specialized for balancing burst damage and adaptation force and i go half ap half ad and thx to the runes all stats of kaisa attack speed and move speed and ad and ap increased dramatically now instead of getting 236 ad and 400 ap and 2 attackspeed and 395 move speed and no scaling i get 300 ad 512 ap 2.3 attack speed once start engaging goes to 2.5 and movement speed 512 + all dmg scales against champs heavy tank, but to go half ap half ad you need to trade w dmg for mechanics and skill

Any build should be considered situational. Even if it's a 90/10 split of the time.
Really depends on the playstyle of the individual. People who like to go head first, weave in autos and play around with the invisibiltiy of E, while having constant DPS; the AP build will definitely feel more boring to play. However, if you don't mind the more pokey playstyle of the AP and you're able to hit them, you're rewarded with more burst, poke, and even tank shred. All playstyle dependant, but I do think the AP build is more consistent in terms of damage as along as you play it right.
Not just playstyle. It's also depends on your team comp and your enemy's. I like to rock the AP build when I have a Yasuo Yone top/mid AD combo or when the enemy has 0-1 real tank.
@@Genemesis True that, but from what I've seen you can force the AP build and it'll be more consistent then trying to play the typical AD build. Long range poke that bursts squishes and shreds tanks really has no counterplay unless the enemy team is super coordinated.
The reason kaisa players go Eclipse is because it gives you a fighting chance. Yes it does less damage late game but how many times do you get to go to that stage in the game? It feels good late game regardless so we're just mitigating our loss of brain cells early game with it lol

Im in a similar spot, i prefer on-hit Kai'sa way more than her AP variant. I feel like AP takes too long to come online where as with on hit i can get on top of someone blow them up and move on to the next guy alot faster. It also ends games faster too.
I think that is the question you have to ask yourself. If AP Kai'Sa gets time to scale, the game actually become torture, since a player actually gets a three second interval to play the game before getting blown up. If you *can't* scale, then ADC is sometimes better, since you can have an earlier impact. It means little if you're outranged, though.
Yeah look how much more decisive his AD game was, if he was AP he woudl've just been getting dove and dying. Way better for Soloq on average. The AP game looked so loseable even tho he was getting so much value.

U dont max W cuz it doesnt change AD scaling or range, it only lowers cooldown but since you get early W upgrade anyway your cooldown is like 1 second so doesnt matter jsut better to max E 2nd
