Ordered some Sarpo Mira and Prairie Blush. Thanks for the discount. 👍🏻
Fantastic. When I say we loved the Sarpo Miras, I mean it for sure! We haven't tried the Prairie Blush. We will have to look into them as a potential option.
I have a bunch of mine chitting and have been for about a month. I have a friend from the UP and her dad grows Norland Reds, he has a spot in the basement that has dirt and he puts them there they keep until he is digging potatoes the next fall. They are perfect.
That is a fantastic idea with the basement if you have dirt in there. Yes, ours are definitely at different stages. I have another idea for an experiment with that, and we'll see how it goes once I play around with these potatoes. I love the taste of Norland Reds!
I am chitting out Red Norland, and Adirondack Blue from WOOD PRAIRIE! I am using a Russett, and another red from elsewhere.
Love the Adirondack blues! They are right up there with Magic Molly Purple potatoes for us.
it will be my first time that specific Variety.@@GutenGardening
I’ll be pulling up my Sarpo Mira potatoes in around two weeks or so. They were planted a little over 100+ days ago. Thanks for the code, when I order my seed potatoes in the fall I’ll definitely use it. Happy Gardening from Southern California 😊.
We would love to hear how it goes for you! We loved our harvest for sure. And thank you ahead of time for using the code in the fall!
@@GutenGardening this is my second year growing Sarpo Mira, last year my yield was very good, hopefully it will be the same this year.
I was shocked by how they kept growing and growing and growing. I think they are a must after only growing them for one year.
I didn't save any potatoes from last year, I always do, however, this year I didn't do it but some organic potatoes at the store because on the places I usually buy it are getting way too expensive
Potato time cannot come soon enough! Has your garlic started sprouting outside already?
Mine has (zone 5a, WI). Its too early warm next week has me concerned with fruit trees and budding.
I agree with you there! I haven't check in on the garlic for about 2 weeks (before the warm up) but it is under a pretty good layer of hay, and I didn't see anything then. But with those warm temps (up until the last few days) I wouldn't be surprised. How about you?
I wonder about the fruit trees as well. And now it is about 14 out, so lots of temperature variation.
I love their southern collection (southern belle maybe?). I failed at potatoes until I ordered that...fantastic! Glad you are an affiliate!
They have some pretty cool collections, which isn’t something we have really seen elsewhere.
I'm trying to find this handy chart you feature on their website and can't find it. Do you know if it's available online?
If you want the exact chart, you can request a free catalogue at the top of the website. Otherwise, the information is on the website but not exactly in that same form. Instead, you can just click on a potato variety and scroll down, and you will see the same info vertically, but it is not compiled for all varieties in one spot. Does that all make sense?
Yes, that makes sense! Thanks for the quick reply. @@GutenGardening
My pleasure. I hope all is well!
that looks like a very useful chart.❤ i wish i had a chart like that.😊❤
A great resource!
Absolutely!
Be prepared to take out a 2nd mortgage if you order from them. 😢
