Hmm, haven't been on this particular KONE lift, but such emergency brake happened to me once as well. It looked like the lift missed one floor marker while counting them and stopped to reassure it is on the correct floor. But there was no such noise and inspection chimes. Maybe you are right and encountered another lift surfer on his way. Such lifts are soooo tempting :D Nice to know you enjoyed your short stay in Poland! Sad that I live in its south ;)
It is kind of unlikely that their was another lift surfer in the building. The inspection chime happens when normal circuit is broken. The lift probably glitched. But it wasn't something as simple as a safety break.
I remember seeing a person surfing this lift before, it was uploaded a few days after this. I don’t remember the channel name or the video of it. Maybe that person did.
Those lifts are turbo charged! Those guide rail rollers look like they had a performance update as well. Eventhough these lifts are superfast, they appear to run very smoothly with no wobbling or rocking about. Those rollers must be really tough and hard wearing or are probably replaced frequently to maintain this level of performance.
I would if it didn't have a wind shield. I found one with a wind shield in Dubai. I attempted to surf it but had to abort as it was too dangerous. It was too dodgy to stand on a flimsy wobbly windshield at 6 m/s with no access to the inspection control. I could have opened the wind shield but I was guessing it had a switch on it that stopped it going full speed with it open.
No, the M series DC then became the M series AC which today is known as the 7000. The Euro lift is a completely different model of lift. The 5400 is cheaper built than a M series / 7000. It is a new design of lift for small and mid sized buildings. Schindler then marketed the 7000 for only high rise buildings and as buildings are getting cheaper and cheaper nowadays the 5400 became the lift that was most often installed. Then nowadays the 5500 that replaced the 5400 is now being sold a premium lift and lots of buildings are going for 3300 which is a disgusting cheap lift.
@@benolifts Alright I understand now. I don't think the 5500 is bad (considering that owners and building managers replace and mod lifts before the lifts actually need those things).
Love m series. Schindler elevators over there are much more interesting.

This is one of the best lift adventures I have seen so far!!

In Bern there is a 3m/s 2:1 AC VF M-series built in 2004. That may be a custom speed. It's going about 25 floors.
Nice elevator. I love the “US chimes” used on this lift.

I do love Schindler lifts especially the m series and the destination dispatch lifts too. I’m surprised the m series looks new.
Mega film ;)
You are absolutly bonker for lift surfing that! If i were you, My heart will pump as fast as that lift. Good job however though.
I'm from poland
0:17 yesss , m series !
HIGH SPEED LIFT ADVENTURE IN MY COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awesome 1980's otis !
Mabye it was someone ontop the lift since you can hear what sounds like a shaft door opening and closing.
Have you seen any crazy 10m/s ecodiscs? If so, would you consider surfing one?

Great video Beno!
Yes!
how does fire service mode operation work on a destination dispatch lift?
there’s a hidden panel you can open with a key with all of the floor buttons.
Correct. This solution was accepted by Hong Kong Fire Services Department two decades or earlier ago.
0:17 Is your finger broken?
Beno, do you have polish złoty?
I use card. Drawing out money is inefficient.
Even A Better Video Today WOW!
Good
I'm pretty sure that Kone emergency brake was glitch. Lifts screw up once in a while.
What about the Eurolifts then? Aren't they the ones superseding the M series?

Hi Beno, I'm lift surfers from Indonesia. I want to ask you. How to fix my elevator door, My elevator door cannot be closed after i surfed it
You have not provided enough information. How did you surf it? What model is it? What logic does it have? What doors does it have?
Beno funny how he doesn’t answer after this
Jakarta?
Nice Video 👍
US voice on the destination dispatch system. Noticed this was OTIS too. Are they that lazy?
What would you consider to be the absolute ULTIMATE elevator in the world to surf if you could get away with it?
Probably the twin, and I have surfed it. Also high speed lifts are nice to surf.
How do you do your animations?
MSPaint and Sony Vegas
@@benolifts Ok
Hi
Great video!!! But I fell like you talked a little fast.
I talk rather medium speed. I would not want to talk any slower as that would be boring and would make the videos too long.
Beno Lifts ok yea. I’m not trying to be mean I love your channel just yea.
NWX427 yea lol
beno talks at a medium speed sometimes and sometimes talks quite sloowly and fucking speeds up to quite fast.
Why not try the fastest lift in the world(in Singapore)? At staggering speeds of 10 M/S and 450 LEVELS!
Beno, złoty?
