Good fishing mate great method , it can be frustrating when they go to take it then swim away lol but it would get boring if it was easy and caught every cast. I like zig rigs as well . I've started to get it in my head lately that fish are not constantly on bottom. Anyway tight lines pal all the best on ur vids
Nice video!! I love your accent man, also those fish a beautiful! I didn't know they got that big. I've only caught one carp and it was in Texas xD (6 lb)
Something to look for next time is that the carp fins are folded back when you weigh or lift it up with the net. Since you could damage its fins permantly. Otherwise nice carp!!
If its the bottom part of their tail, that is an Otter for sure or similar predator. They are a problem in the UK now, they bite off bits of their tails so they cant swim away.
hey thats not that long carp can survive without water for 2-5 minutes my carp jumped out and i released 3 min later and its still swimming well till 2 years ago.(got eaten by my gar)
no they cant they dont have support system in their body not even gouramies can while carp ,lol its not even a air breather some fish that can survive for hours are snakeheads, catfish, climbing perch, mudskipper, many more but not carp
I'd say from observing 'carpers' , three minutes is a quick time for returning a carp to the water. They like to photograph them, wash all the protective mucus off, kiss them, marry them, etc. :-) I'm like you (I think) put them back a.s.a.p.
yeh I'm a carp fisherman myself but cant understand why people take so long with them 1-2 minutes is the most I would keep them out. Unless I was waiting for photos, in that case I would put them in a retainer
That 23-12 is a nice old fish you got there. Sometimes simpler is better! XD
Just watched the egg surface controller video and it helped quite a lot! Subscribed now and i'll definitely be watching more videos!
What a lovely fish!

Barry Boyd If they swim away your presentation isn't right mate.
Looks like a golf course all around;)
It could almost pass for one, it was on a private estate ;)
You did a good job getting those Carp in around those submerged Trees.
Hi Michael, yes not ideal but there was only one tree submerged. I managed to avoid it luckily!

Theres a lake near me in dorset which is supposed to be great for this type of fishing they all use it.
Nice! Great video by the way, have you got a video which shows a setup for this type of fishing as i'd like to start doing it?

ive had afew carp with a bit of its tail missing like the carp u caught is it the pike
Some older Carp get that way over time. Spawning beats up their Tails a lot.
If its the bottom part of their tail, that is an Otter for sure or similar predator. They are a problem in the UK now, they bite off bits of their tails so they cant swim away.
PIKE UP IN NORTH
What reel is that
nice vid were do yo fish at
What rod are you using?
Hey mate, you kept this fish out of the water way too long for catch and release. Just because it swims off does not mean it's going to make it.
hey thats not that long carp can survive without water for 2-5 minutes my carp jumped out and i released 3 min later and its still swimming well till 2 years ago.(got eaten by my gar)
Carp can live out of water up to an hour
no they cant they dont have support system in their body not even gouramies can while carp ,lol its not even a air breather some fish that can survive for hours are snakeheads, catfish, climbing perch, mudskipper, many more but not carp
what rod are you using
what size hook are you using?
It's a size 6 in this video David, fairly big for the size of fish but bare in mind I was using bread so the bigger the hook the better.
Is that your back yard?
I wish! Unfortunately not, although I can go back when I like ;)
where a bouts do you fish +iTalkTackle ?
abouts*
he had that fish out for about 3 mins
+Tom Denham that would be normal for carpers wouldn't it?
yes but you should always get everything ready which he did, but also get the fish back in the water as soon as possible.

@@thebones3 to 4 mins max is fine if kept wet its all about wetting down been at it 37 yrs never lost one yet. Over 4......go home....
I hate when I'm bass fishing and a carp comes up and takes my worm then I half to cut the line cause I don't feel like fighting them
Don't cut I just catch it and it will scare the rest of the group away
Straight Shift For Life you're a moron then
im surprised that fish didn't die for the amount of time you were bragging about it
Shimano
reels ;)
These are a massive pest in Australia. Call them mud suckers and they usually don't make it back into the water..
Avid Carp Anglers respect Carp. Carp are very special Fish. If you don't understand this you should not be watching this Video!
And in some parts of the world they are an invasive species that damages local eco-systems.
Sick video but carp are nasty fish

What reel is that
What Rod are you using?.
