    Good fishing mate great method , it can be frustrating when they go to take it then swim away lol but it would get boring if it was easy and caught every cast. I like zig rigs as well . I've started to get it in my head lately that fish are not constantly on bottom. Anyway tight lines pal all the best on ur vids

      Barry Boyd If they swim away your presentation isn't right mate.

    Something to look for next time is that the carp fins are folded back when you weigh or lift it up with the net. Since you could damage its fins permantly. Otherwise nice carp!!

    • @MichaelMosesHammer
      @MichaelMosesHammer 10 років тому

      Some older Carp get that way over time. Spawning beats up their Tails a lot.

    • @r33ouch33
      @r33ouch33 10 років тому +1

      If its the bottom part of their tail, that is an Otter for sure or similar predator. They are a problem in the UK now, they bite off bits of their tails so they cant swim away.

    Hey mate, you kept this fish out of the water way too long for catch and release. Just because it swims off does not mean it's going to make it.

      hey thats not that long carp can survive without water for 2-5 minutes my carp jumped out and i released 3 min later and its still swimming well till 2 years ago.(got eaten by my gar)

    • @iTalkTackle
      @iTalkTackle  10 років тому

      It's a size 6 in this video David, fairly big for the size of fish but bare in mind I was using bread so the bigger the hook the better.

    • @tomdenham6745
      @tomdenham6745 8 років тому

      yes but you should always get everything ready which he did, but also get the fish back in the water as soon as possible.

    • @thebones
      @thebones 8 років тому

      I'd say from observing 'carpers' , three minutes is a quick time for returning a carp to the water. They like to photograph them, wash all the protective mucus off, kiss them, marry them, etc. :-) I'm like you (I think) put them back a.s.a.p.

    • @tomdenham6745
      @tomdenham6745 8 років тому

      yeh I'm a carp fisherman myself but cant understand why people take so long with them 1-2 minutes is the most I would keep them out. Unless I was waiting for photos, in that case I would put them in a retainer
