Thabks for the info! Can i plug directly into headphones aux in my macbook air without compromising acoustic properties?Or do i need a dedicated interface?
The “Ah this is great!” effect at 19:56 made me look around as I was just listening to this while doing some home repairs and I thought someone had entered the room.
Great job Adam!
Sounds like a gain staging issue? Consider joining the HPS discord server to have a more in-depth conversation to try and help you. Link in the video description.
An interesting speaker to consider. I would rather go with Genelec 8010A and a 7040A sub for small setups. A lot of money in those though, and can still be restricted by space, but a very good option for something small.
Do you mix in an untreated room? Do you think the IN-UNF system could work for you?
do you think edifier G2000 GAMING speakers will do the job in an untreated room
Is this System good for gaming or listening to music?
Why do you need foam on your walls if your room is treated?
High end reflections. The lows and the midrange are treated by having the walls floating and isolated, but the highs can flutter if not dealt with
To elaborate, we could have put more frames up with rock wool, but the frequencies that would have dealt with were already controlled by the wall designs- a simple cloth covering might have done the final job much like the cloth on usual clouds and frames- but with the walls being entirely sealed and floating, we didn’t want to pierce the walls unnecessarily so we went with the foam option in selected areas
Ha. Big balls ! I concur
No one is using these speakers the right way….there is a very specific way to align the phase between the bass unit and the speakers via the printer placement guides….there is very little play with this placement ….and because of that these speakers are only good with laptop setups where u can move ur computer around these
I would love to have those studio monitors, but I have no room for the big black box on my desk, or underneath it
