Some stuff I forgot to say:
- One of the things I found most impressive about Assassin's Creed Nexus was its textures. They must have some great artists (or AI) making this stuff because, even though they're flat textures, they look very 3D and realistic. You have to get right up to them and look at the edge to see that they're flat. Standing at a normal distance, many textures look very convincingly 3D.
- I recorded my Nexus gameplay, but the audio ended up out of sync with the video, and my mic volume was too low, so I had to abandon it for those two reasons. The sync issue might have been because I was recording at 60fps, which isn't the default. There's currently NO WAY to adjust your mic volume, which seems crazy to me. The game itself has to have a mic volume option bc there's no option in the system settings. That makes recording gameplay natively on Q3 pretty useless unless you use an external mic. I also tried lowering the game volume, but that didn't change the volume in the recording.

I don't think I'm a fan of the Luke Ross mods in general either. I enjoyed the GTA V one for a while (when I could access it, and I know there are pain in the arse work-arounds to get it working still but I don't want to do them). But the AER, and even AER 2.0 make the games just not look that great to me, and I suspect a 4090 is literally essential to get a half-decent experience out of most of them.

I know it is mentioned most times but could you guys make a point to mention when the pc version is significantly better than the quest version? Because some look the same on both versions.

I will if I play them both, but I rarely get the Quest version if there's a PC version.

@vrgamingpodcast I heard you say that you wait for the pc version. I also prefer a pc version if it's available but sometimes it is no different from the quest version. I've also found it difficult to research if the pc version is superior having to resort to piracy in order to find out if there's a difference.

I'll always assume PC is better. If nothing else, it's going to be higher resolution with supersampling.
