I am a hardcore physical media collector to the tune I have 3753 Blu-rays with 978 of them being 4K. With that said in support of your streaming argument here is a couple modern examples. Devotion (2022) the 4K stream has Atmos sound yet the 4K disc release is only DTS-HD 5.1. Sisu (2022) is another example of streaming having Atmos yet the 4K disc is only Dolby TrueHD 5.1. In both cases for me with my sound setup I would rather have the Atmos than 5.1 sound.
Physical media is 100% the way to go. Streaming services are great for convenience, but you have the problem where you end up paying for multiple just to watch all the shows you want. Some services like Hulu you have to pay $90 a month to have everything aka the live tv version. Plus with streaming services there is no guarantee your favorite shows will stay, and you have the issue where streaming services like Netflix take ages to just add 1 movie or a single season for a show you like. For me I get my physical media in the form of video games as I'm not a huge movie person. I like owning the physical disc or cartridge for the game.

If you can not hold it, you don't own it
