Mixed tournaments shouldn't use the Japanese ban list because it isn't fair for the English player who never gets the chance to play their deck at full power. I know Japanese players like to be elitists but not everyone has the money to blow on boxes of JP just so they can get the chance to play their deck at full power. Also, JP players get everything way sooner and get a ton of time with the cards. JP is more expensive and harder to get. Yes some people know people and can get stuff cheaper but that isn't most people. It sucks being new to a game, looking up a list for an IP you love and either everyone hates you for playing something meta (even though you just like the IP and are new) or is on the JP banlist so you cant play your deck you just bought (even though it's not banned in English). Very elitist and new player unfriendly.
I get the point of people who play jp and are sick of a deck, but this game really needs new players, and telling them they can't play the cards that just came out just because a format that isn't the regions main format has it banned is messed up. Also, JP has new sets that are broken that aren't in English which also isn't fair for the English player. It's mixed so JP uses JP ban list and English uses theirs. I hated when I first started this game and played mushoku because I really loved the IP and didn't know how powerful it was and had a ton of people getting mad at me and calling me a meta whore, when I was new and just liked the IP.
My Locals had a few Nino players, but I'm still chillen on Symphogear. Though that Sora deck do be lookin kinda interesting 👀
No members list? *Megamind Face*
