interesting sound. Ive been playing for 10 years. I just had a question. Why didn't you have the bell pointing towards the microphone? I've done plenty of recording but always had the bell pointing towards the mic and never had an issue with sound or anything.
Joshua Garner It's not likely a matter of sound, but of volume. The audio likely would have been too hot. We can't see what rig he's using to record. Pointing the bell at the mic may have needed a completely different recording rig and setup. On top of that, not many people are both good musicians and sound recording engineers. So, he may not be that familiar with mic placement.

Nicely done. I think you have a very nice tone, but when you go higher you tend to sound pinched and tinny. When I've been playing for awhile and my chops are tired I do the same thing. Overall it was pretty good.

You have good sound but you just play loud the whole time. You need to play written dynamics. Also try to not to sound too brass like at some points. It may be the mic or your area but try not to do it if it's not that.
Wow this is really good interpretation. Your tone sounds similar to a saxs, shouldnt it be saxs to french horns tho😂 honestly fantastic clean playing tho and loved the little rips

Jeff Lee, you know as well as I do that there are always going to be the haters. If they have nothing nice to say, then they should just keep quiet. Usually those that criticize are the ones who are insecure about their own playing. There is a nice way to offer advise. As far as I am concerned, You did a great job with this cover.

well it depends on what french horn you play i play a double horn in symphonic 7th grade band its harder to play with a single horn though

What model French Horn do you have? I have been playing for about 4-5 years and I have my own but it is broken as I got it used.

that's a weird hand position usually sounds less muffled kind of actually sounds more woodwindish I like it though!
