Hello ASL Heroes!!! Hey, I could really use your help. If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you. A small monthly donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com. Right now you can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!” www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=64QMBRBXQSV6G For more donation options, see: Lifeprint.com/donate Thanks! - Dr. Bill

Hi Dr. Bill! I'm so happy you continue to post new content. I have a random question. You posted a great video of fingerspelling 5 letter words. in the description you mentioned that ideally, after a pause , the answer would appear on screen between each word. If someone were to edit the video in this way, Would you be be interested in posting it? Thanks -Evan
As always Dr. Bill you are the Master in all your videos. Throughout your videos here and there you post some International sign language signs. I was wondering if you have some International signs you could show us, as this present times we are encountering a large use in it and finding some difficulty in keeping up, and here we are looking to you to guide us through this. Your help is appreciated in any way. Thank you for your continuation in teaching us you are the best.
Typing this in Fall of 2021. The other day Bee and I had two other Deaf couples over for dinner and games. As the six of us sat at the table happily signing away the topic of international signs and de-initialized signing came up. As a lexicographer (dictionary maker) I took great interest in noticing the attitudes of several of the group -- they were not thrilled with the encroachment of international signs into ASL. I mention the timeframe as part of this comment because it might be read years later by people with a completely different set of experiences (who did not "sit at the same table") and judge according to social norms of a different era. At some point I would indeed enjoy doing a video on "international signs" -- however I would like to be doing it while standing on international soil and while signing with individuals who use such signs on an everyday basis -- not because it is cool or avant-garde -- but rather because their friends and associates actually sign that way on a daily basis and have done so for years.
