I just plant sunflowers and when I harvest them I'll let their roots die in the ground. Really effective way of amending your soil. With the power of sunflowers
so how would i add green sand and other non water soluble amendments and manure to raised garden neds for winter? just mix them up, lay down and throw a cover crop or plastic dwn over the bed?
I put truck loads of horse litter into my garden. It was over 6 inches thick Even mixed some in. By the next spring. It was all gone. What can I do to make it last longer?
