Lmfao!! I think he's all about it, he said "I'm newly single."
i really hated him in the movie but he is sooo chill
which time?
he said “the canadian hood”😂😂😂😂😂
This movie is an eye opener, it made me cry and made me frustrated for the black community. Black people are beautiful and deserve to be treated equally. This movie touched my heart❤️
Kylie Jordyn ❤️
Omg yess! 😍
And they are soo talented and beautiful too😍 *lips*😭😂
oh sure
Goku what's that supposed to mean?
@@kingo.t.r1004 things

This movie was phenomenal. No joke. It deserves ALL the attention.
“I’m taking yo blue eyes and yo blue suit to the hood” 😂😂😂
He said “white people” 😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀
He kept it real as fuck
Your so childish
@@antonyowens8752 let her/ him be childish
Amandla’s so mature and intellectual 😍
hamilaurens you’re not, wut is ur profile picture
@@billieeyelish6628 she’s 23 this year so why not if you’re expecting her to be that same 12-year old in The Hunger Games she’s not
Oh man I really hated Sabrina Carpenter's character in this movie.
Regina Ponce honestly who didn’t
Regina Ponce UUGGHH ikr
Love Sabrina, hated her character
Ka’Lea Stokes I wanted to jump through my phone and drag her hair and tell her to watch out.
I couldn't stand Sabrina carpenters character. She was such a racist bitch
This is one of the best interviews I have seen in a long time because they talk about being black and being white in such a forward way, and you can see how uncomfortable they get but they still talk about it, and thats so important. Because, for a brown or black person to put that on the table infront of a white person is putting yourself infront of something that can turn very bad for you as brown or black and not for the white person, and you are always aware of that. And talking openly about adapting and chaging is so important, because we have to change the facts, because the way things are now means that people have to change and become less brown or less black, or less femal or more femal or more maskuline or less gay an so on, and we have to make an effort to stop that and be inclusive and understanding and caring. And I believe that we can only get to that by having these open and uncomfortable conversation.
What Anthony said @1:38 speaks volumes. Black people or ANY person of color have to be so adaptable in order not to make 95% of racist white America uncomfortable. Any time you bring up race to a basic white person that get all hot and bothered and ask "Why do you have to bring up color?!" and for POC it's because it's our life. POC are (usually) raised with a sense of understanding that they are "different", certain things are going to be perceived as in a bad light.
Like how a group of White teenagers are seen vs a group of Black/brown teenagers. If both are acting loud and abrasive the white kids will generally be viewed as "Rowdy teens just acting out. They're misunderstood" but the black/brown kids acting the same way will be viewed as "Ghetto, disruptive, dangerous, delinquents, disrespectful."
I know this JUST isn't an American problem, but as an American this is my reality and all I can say is this country is a mess!
I could not agree more, thank you for this comment.
I’m white but you’ll find me with the black people :) they awesome people !
its not 95% actually i looked it up including white hispanics its about 70% but i couldnt agree with you more
God is not real the fuck are you talking about?
Facts
I cried the whole movie it was so good I want to watch it again
ANTHONY MACKIE IS IN THIS MOVIE!??!?? NOW IM FINNA WATCH AAHHH
Should see it regardless smh.
The Falcon's another alter ego is being Garden Heights drug lord 😂 😂
Yeah he's the character King
Anthony Mackie’s biceps are bigger than my future loll
Your comment love it haha
I fangirl over Amandla so much! Young and aware and outspoken on change ❤❤
algee smith is so fine
Anthony Mackie made a very interesting point....in most cases the term "different" can lead to "uncomfortable" and then that term can eventually lead into "racism" weather it's overt or subliminal.
This movie made me cry
Me too!
same😭
Oml Lamar Johnson so glad to see him in this film 😍
Who watched the movie?
Pedro Santana me it was soo good
Me👋👋😋😋
I've finished the book waiting for the movie to come out on Netflix
Me ‼️
Sunny Bunnys me
Sabrina's character in this movie didn't necessarily annoy me, i just felt concerned and pitiful that she was so misinformed that it led her to be so insensitive to the real issue.
In real life, Sabrina is not a racist
Kristian Olliviere no one said that
Yeah. Hailey was racist, and that made her an absolute jerk. Other than that, she didnt bother me
That means she was really good cuz she convinced me
I never knew KJ had a accent 💀
kiwi accent lol
NZ leshgoo baby 💕
Yeah I’m from Chicago, this movie was really huge, I cried, I accepted the truth of it all, and and understand that like it’s time for a change. It’s time for us all to realize what we need to do to break from this tape that’s been playing over and over. I loved this movie it was great !! ❣️
White guy who played the boyfriend played a good role - stayed with her despite Starr's troubling conflicts and anger - good movie - but honey, Russell Hornsby is all good with me - really like Daddy Lincoln Heights
Renaissance Jack brown guy**
Hes a brown boy from NZ 😉
Renaissance Jack the movie is slightly different then the book they skipped some parts in the book
Chris was a sweetheart in the book too. And KJ is a white passing half Samoan.
Me now jus figuring out that “The Hate U Give “ spells out “THUG” 🙌🏾
Issa_ Kaliyah time for you to get that Tupac playlist so you’re up to speed with the reference.
lol yep everybody sleepn on tupac are clueless af

The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody-THUG LIFE
Did you watch the movie?
That’s kinda funny because Casey and Sabrina worked together, now KJ and Sabrina are working together. And KJ and Casey Star in Riverdale together.
This cast makes me happy. 😍😍
They are all such great people
the irony of this, is that KJ isn't even fully white, he's half samoan
Oh my gah, its my baby rue
'Newly single'? Wait what Jake? I thought you got married? That video of your proposal was so sweet. Damn... Sorry man
dazza2151 he might've been joking
Amandla honestly has the best smile
Ths was the best movie of 2018. How the hell a shallow, stereotypical movie like "Green Book" could be nominated AND WIN Best Picture, while "The Hate U Give" - who deals with the same topics but MUCH MUCH better - didn't even get nominated, is insane.
Great interview as usual, Jake :)
Anthony, as a black person, I will not be entering that white club. Aside from that, you’re single?!
Its just a club...
I heard that "single" comment, too, and paused the video. I thought he was in a long term relationship with his high school sweetheart...
SunyiSideUp I hope he was joking
SunyiSideUp My heart stopped too! He was married for goodness sake!
He was joking hes married
Anthony is speaking some serious facts
Yessss so much anger, frustration, and fear between the black man and policemen. I agree 100%.
"I'mma take ur blue eyes and ur blue suit to the hood"
Sabrina barely spoke but when she did it was so well worded. I’ve read Angie’s book so many times over I can’t wait to watch it! And Amandla’s role in everything everything and as Rue was so moving I love her acting so much
Please shut up
One year later and now I can’t stop thinking about this movie.
Such a powerful movie. I am macedonian, so honestly i was not familiar with the problem. But after seeing this, i am aware that these problems still exist, and i honestly want this to change. We are all people made out of flesh and blood. Every life matters. Please, just STOP with that racism bullshit and make the world better place for living. thank u:)
i lovee the whole cast and angie thomas too they are AMAZING . best movie ever (im watching it for a third time)
You know, I watched the movie, and it opened my eyes to what is really happening in America. Very good movie. I cried during and after watching it.
I am Latin but my cousin is black and I went to go watch this movie with her and even though I am not black it was very Heart touching to both of us and I was so happy that they created a movie involving justice and equality for any one if you're Latin or black white any one and I would suggest this movie to anyone who gotten treated wrong or who is different and who involved to this so love you guys in the cast😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Lol they treat Latin just like black people in America
The saddest part was the end. Hands down. This movie really showed how the cycle just continues
1:47 He Ain't going in there 😆
Ugh this movie was so good
This is the one book and movie that I can say they are both as good as eachother. This is fucking amazing
“I’m newly single!” “ME TOO!!!” 😭😭😭😭😭
Me watching the movie for the 7 billionth time , while watching the interviews over and over again : 👁👄👁
Watching this movie, it is incredibly amazing at how much reality it gives and volume it speaks. At the start of the movie, when ( Oh god, I'm ashamed I don't remember most names. I'm sorry, ) the man that was the victim got shot. My mother, sister and I we're upset when he got shot for grabbing a hair brush. A little bit after, Star got out and the cop arrested her making it seem ( to me, if it's just me ) like she shot him. Which is ridiculous, but this movie overall is absolutely stunning. Throughout the movie, in the middle. I was saying, '' Oh I'm crying..( blah blah ) '' as if I was, but it was small tears but they weren't coming out. At the end, I kept crying, non-stop. My mother, sister, I, could not stop. It came to the point where I walked to the edge of the little entrance and sat down balling my eyes out. My mother took me to the bathroom because I was crying to much, ( and because we kept our bu Props to this director and movie. I loved it so much I have my movie ticket hung up on my bed room wall, it's torn already but one day. I'll be putting that in a frame and I hope I live up to my promise.
THE HATE YOU GIVE F'S EVERYBODY

Amanda is so articulate and smart, there's something really special about her.
I have read the book about 4 times and it's going to be my 4th time watching the movie.Even though I cry a whole lot every time.
She's so pretty!
i cried soo much when i wathced this movie, more than to any other i watched before i think, and racism is not even a problem in my country, i mean there is not any black people that live here.
Antony Mackie is too real that is why he is my favourite actor of all time
When I watched the movie I was crying someone should have saw the look on my face I was tryng to hold the loudness in.
I didn't even realize archie is chris, I looked up the cast and I finished riverdale last week and I just realized.

I only came for Algee💫
I like Archie better with the dark brown hair than the ginger hair
I'm in love Amandla...

Amandla!!
I have watched three interviews with the cast members of THUG and all the intervewiers have been white
This movie made cry because every black people need justice and we need to be equal to each other.
He's from The Next Step
his come a long way
U CAN SEE KJ'S RED HAIR FROM RIVERDALE!!! 😂😂
Anthony Mackie is like the sweetest guy ever
Sabrina seems to be drifting the conversation into something that can generally pertain to everyone, which is hella annoying
Preye Og FACTTTTS
It's like if you don't know then don't say nothing... like i get use your experiences but this is not the time or place.
Fits the character she plays
i agree. there's a right time and place for that, and while what she was saying was true, it's not appropriate to divert the focus from a serious issue that already doesn't get enough attention to make it more inclusive of other issues.
if she doesn't have much to contribute on this topic, then thats ok. no one's blaming her for that, but then she should just listen and learn.
Why y’all coming at Sabrina, she is just answering her question
i LOVE anthony, but he's not how i imagined King
1:07 I’m dead 😂 this is so true
If Anthony is uncle Carlos in the movie my life will be complete
He's not, he's King. Common is Uncle Carlos.
3:17 aye I'm from Brooklyn
i saw this movie today the day before it comes out it was sooo good i cried like 3 times
Russell Hornsby's face when mackie said white people is the funniest thing ever. You could actually see his blood pressure go up
Anthony Mackie outthere preaching!!! Amen
To whomever is reading this ,I hope that you are having a good day if not know that God loves you unconditionally. He always has.Christ just wants you to come back to him, to come home.Romans 8:39 “there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.”Never forget that.
Ask for forgiveness of your sins(any sins) and become a child of God.Only Christ can take away our pain.We are all broken and lost but He has shown us the Way.Enjoy the true peace and joy that God will give you.True peace and joy comes only through Jesus.Any other way is vain.Trust in the Lord then you will not fear death and it will have no power over you.God bless.❤️🙏
God bless you too!
Thank you for this, God bless you and your loved ones ❤️
If u hate sabrina carpenters character, then u know she did a GREAT acting job 😉
Anyone else wanna see a part 2
I’ve watched a couple of these interviews and I noticed that they’re always interviewed by a white guy
Good catch. Its really sketchy. Seems like the interviews are monitored.
Yo.. I was thinking the same thing! Can't help but, feel frustrated at these black people answering questions about our oppression to a member of THE oppressor group... Bizzare world we live in.
the boy next to the girl with the corn rows skin is so even and clear like dude what?! how ..
