Hi Andrew , I have a very similar opinion to yours. First off respect to Lee and Danny. I would like to see more receipts although I feel Lee and Danny as credible. Maybe its what they heard as a rumor or a bit of both , Truth and Rumor meshed. In my personal opinion I do have a hard time believing he was trying to set up his own faction of the mafia using members who co-operated. Personally the way I see it id imagine probably went down something like this. I'd imagine his kids either robbed the wrong people or put themselves in a spot to be facing 25 year bits. Its possible sammy had to put the money up to get his out of a jam. Or the most likely scenario imo. He used his name and put up the cash to give his kids a strong foothold in the dope game. I believe it was when he knew his kids were gonna go to prison he stepped up and took the blame as the brains as apposed to a cash contribution. He still had connections with the feds, so its possible he was tipped off and knew what was coming down the pipe. He pleaded guilty to have his kids face short bits in some type of deal. I don't put out of stock into the testimony or Girards partner. This is just my opinion. And this is not to argue with anybody or discredit Lee and Danny. I guess you could say I hopped on the bandwagon because I've been very intrigued by Sammy's content lately. The fascination behind it might be because he shed light on things that were so secretive and learning about how deep the mafia's ties were. It is refreshing to hear another perspective, and although I do find his story telling skills to be impeccable, I do have to keep asking myself why he's still so celebrated.
