I think 40s or 50s. What a cool old drill! Man, I wish I was your neighbor... I'm very curious and snoopy, so I'd be over to help you sort all the time. 😁
Thankyou for sharing your story . I feel like such a cheat because you do all the work and we get to observe and enjoy it . I hope you and your wife enjoy your hard work for as long as you can, inshala . ❤❤❤
I would love that forever! Have a modern safe cord made and get the motor cleaned and oiled. It will last and be a great save! What did you do with it?
None of those dates matter when it's a wrist breaker 😅 It's not a variable speed drive and when it catches and stops the bit, the motor keeps turning and so does your wrist. We have an American piece similar to this from the 70s and we understand that when we need to get serious work done... we reach for the wrist breaker. 😂
I think you should polish up some of these treasures and consider a fundraiser sale to help fund your renovation. Have you considered fundraisers? I just found you and watched both YT Episodes. I am both an interior designer (now disabled and mostly help others) and a gardener so I can't wait to see all you do, come across, and experience in this renovation!
Well we can’t wait to have you along for the journey my friend! We have naturally considered selling things but the problem is, we want to keep it all so desperately haha!
@@DuncombeHouseDiaries Thank you for your apology. I'm enjoying your beautiful home and looking forward to your restoration and all the found treasures.
@@DuncombeHouseDiaries Anything else you could make up is going to be a LOT more entertaining than plain old blasphemy. Your imagination is absolutely awesome.

Jennifer it’s one of the coolest things we’ve found in my opinion so I’m so glad you like it!
My dad had one like that, late 50s. I don't know when he got it though
Another fabulous find on Treasure Tuesday! Oh Boy!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you Merideth 😄
Let’s get this bad boy working , rubber gloves and wellingtons and I’m sure it will be splendid, 😀
As everyone knows, impossible to get electrocuted in wellies! Hold my beer sir
That drill looks like it’s from the 1920-30’s range. Nice find, all I’ve ever found was a post card from 1913 and various bird skeletons lol.
Postcard from 1913 is an excellent treasure find!
LOL!! “Probably for the best!”
Well I’m not sure I’m cut out for electrocution Jen
Wow what a stunner...I bet it would put my makita to shame if only it plugged in. Good looking as heck as well 🧡🧡🧡
We may never know! Many thanks to you and Happy New Year 🍾😄
If you want to use it you must change the plug. If you want to sell it or just keep as an antique you must leave it untouched.
Copy that! Happy New Year from Duncombe House Diaries 🎉😄

My Nan had some round sockets so I would guess 50 -60's
Well spotted! Many thanks to you and Happy New Year 🍾😄

It’s a spectacular bit of kit, I’m definitely going to display it just need to decide how best to show it off!
JC on a lawnmower LOL. Where are the other 12 boys?
Not pulling their weight!
I absolutely love treasure Tuesdays❤greetings from Germany
Greeting and thanks to you! 🇩🇪
I would guesstimate a 1930's . JC on a lawnmower love it.
How exciting I do really hope it is that old!

Ha ha, oh gosh well I definitely don't have time for a broken wrist that's for sure

Please do not contemplate using this drill. It could be highly dangerous, not worth the risk.
Yes you may well be correct! Happy New Year from Duncombe House Diaries 🎉😄
Happy New Year To Duncombe House Dairies!
And to you friend!
Cool 😊
I know right, I was so happy when I found it!
I'm going for the 1950's
Such fun!

How the very dare you! (Big Catherine Tate fan). You know I’m an Australian and I can see a swear word a mile off
O gosh some Australians are well acquainted with profanity haha
Please don't take the Lord's name in vain.
I'm a brand new subscriber, and your first statement was certainly a shock.
My apologies Ann, one does abhor being shocked

Religious references in a casual manner may impact your audiences from other countries. Otherwise, your commentary is perfectly delightful.
Thank you ever so much!
Cringed at the first line.
Unnecessary.
Thank you ever so much for sharing your thoughts
Not a safe drill, but looks very English.
Excellent evaluation!
