I think it’s important for QSC to understand is that some people are looking at this format and a special way. Maybe it should be a DAW, or have your internal software compatible to be a DAW/Controller for say Pro Logic on the iPad. I’d say that’s an all in one to have Logic show up on the screen of your mixer. It could be a powerful tool for the home musician who wants a DAW controller, and mixer with multiple channels with great sounding pre-amps, and A/D converters.
Thanks for the great video. I tried yesterday to record some drums using the multi-track mode. I armed all the 22 tracks (mostly for testing purposes, I didn't actually need all of them), and recorded into a Sandisk Ultra Fit 256 USB drive. Everything seemed to work perfectly fine, but when I got home and tried importing all the wav tracks into a DAW (in my case Mackie Waveform), I noticed that the first 10 minutes were perfect, while after a while tracks started becoming mis-aligned (e.g. I could literally see in the Snare track a hit, and in the Hi-hat mic the snare waveform slightly mis-aligned), and the more in went on the worst it became. I recorded with the "pre" setting. Is this something to be expected? What could be the problem? A different usb drive? Thanks a lot!
Can you use the new exFat format or does it have to be Fat32?

I have been using the QSC TM-8 L282100C1 daily in my home studio.
Several weeks ago, I sent Kirk Fyvie files downloaded to an email at his request from L282100C1.
It was my understanding that he (Kirk) was forwarding those files to whatever persons in whatever department at some undisclosed QSC location to examine, in order to determine exactly what the problem (FAILURE) is with BOTH of my TM-8 mixers.
Today, I fired up L022100RQ just to see how it was doing. This mixer also has the SAME FAILURE as L282100C1.
I’m not sure what you people are thinking, but I can assure you that I am most angry person you know. You have succeeded in that. Why don’t you succeed in presenting excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE instead?
Tell me WHY you have NOT sent me two brand new fully functioning, and inspected, TM-8 mixers? I don’t care if you repair these two, I don’t care if you display them in the QSC hall of fame product museum. I don’t care if they get implanted in Joe Pham’s colon. I just want what you advertise as two non-defective QSC Touch Mix 8 mixers. What the hell is it going to take?

The QSC TouchMix videos are very well done, and informative. I realized that I needed one of these mixers. I purchased a TM-8 for processing my drumset. It operated for almost a year, but then developed several issues. When powering my TM-8 the headphones had no sound, the four aux outs displayed full red on their outputs. One of the mixer channels was also full red, and so were the two main outs. I had NO efx, comp or eq. Powering the TM-8 off and back on would result in fixing the problem, but not every time. I shipped the mixer back to QSC and the tech said he replaced the SD card. Now it’s STILL doing the same thing! Latest from QSC tech said he’s going to replace the board. Sucks for me. I wonder what the failure rate is on these products.
Feature request, I really need the ability to gain stage accurately before recording tracks. Can you modify the firmware to give move fine db readings so the users can see move than 0 db at the gain setup stage. Also it would be helpful if the meter readings were magnified or even full screen at this stage of setup.
I'm creating a video recording of a concert and want to use the mixer to record the audio. How do you do this setup for the camera and connection to the mixer? thanks, Brad

We have a touchmix 16 at our church. It is used for our audio.....the question is what kind of interface would you recommend for use to livestream? the irig pro 2 or what other budget friendly compatible audio interface can be used? I hope you can answer. WE NEED THE HELP!
question, when you say to format the hard drive or usb with fat32 file system, you mean we can only record a total of less than 4 gb of memory every session? how about if I want to record ah speech and it will take about an hour? I think 4 gb is not enough for that recording, so to sum it up the recording function was limited to about 10 to 15 minutes per session? please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm planning to buy this one as my main board both for live and recording setting

Did you figure this out? I have just got the touchmix 8 and want to use the Samsung t5 1tb. As far as I know options are exfat and NTFS? any help would be good! the samsung is actually listed on the QSC website as a recommended SSD so it must be able to work?
You say select "Record Setup" and then in the video it highlights "Record Mode" in yellow and it shows you selecting that. WRONG!
I have had so many issues getting this to work it's ridiculous... and it still doesn't work.
I could never get mine to work with any drive. I am all Mac based (I would guess over 75% of owners are) and Fat32 formatted drives off of my Mac will not work.
ust tried to download the Daw program from the qsc website, My Mac running High Sierra said that the program was not optimized or upgraded enough to be compatible.
So where can I find a compatible version? Has it been updated since 2017?

Hi, Can the qsc 16 be used as a DAW? I mean: can I connect it to the Mac and record directly on Logic Pro by assigning the channels from there? Thanks for the reply
