  • I looked for the new version of this song online, but I couldn't find one. So I uploaded my own :)
    I do not own OneShot or the soundtrack, I uploaded it for peoples convenience. The music was made by the wonderful artist known as NightMargin on BandCamp.

    When re-listening to the OST, I just realized how much I like OneShot's music. It really speaks volumes to the game.

      Its a wonderfully unique game, and its music compliments it so well. I was very impressed when I first started playing, and more so with the music from the Solstice update. You should check out NightMargin on deviantart. She creates the music for OneShot, and she uploads music there as well!

    This song gives me a nostalgic vibe. I remember how half year ago I download this game and saw Niko at the first time. I had not so much real friends and it was so nice to have a good time with Niko. I am also from Ukraine and as you know war started around a half year ago. So all this OST not only make me remember Niko. Now memories about OneShot also tightly connected with memories about my home in Ukraine. I will remember for all my life how when I get to the bus that took us away to a safe place, I turned the OneShot music to calm down. For me OneShot ost really fit with my situation. They are also describes confusion, missing for home and hope that all what is happening is only a dream.

    More games need to completely shatter the fourth wall like this one.

    • @Lynxez
      @Lynxez 3 роки тому +9

      Agreed. A lot of games lean on the fourth wall but we need more games that totally shatter it and include the player in. I've felt more for games like- for example- OneShot and Undertale compared to others in my library. I feel like a huge factor of that is not only just because the stories of these 2 games are well-written because I've played countless other games with amazing stories, but it's just how the game acknowledges you. Pulls you in. It's such an underrated mechanic that pulls you into the story and makes you feel for it even deeper than other games, at least in my personal experience.
      Not extremely related either, but it disappoints me how many games there are of just free-roam, endless gameplay, shooting, or just in general games with no real plot. There are so many of them and I want more story-rich games, especially story-rich puzzle pixel games. You don't get to see too many of those anymore, and even older games just aren't my thing since they're usually just fighting stuff or visually don't appeal to me. I mean I've played fighting games before but they just get boring after a few days. Games like OneShot are so much better in my opinion.
      A lot of games like OneShot get cast below to underrated land though, which sucks because it makes these kinds of genres of games underrated. Undertale is like the only game I know that properly got a hell ton of attention. Stuff like Endless Bounty, OneShot, and I've heard Omori is good- they're all modern pixel games with good stories but I don't see too many people talking about them.
      Sorry for the rambling lol, but I hope you get what I mean.

    • @RobinRhombus2
      @RobinRhombus2 3 роки тому +7

      @@Lynxez well I sort of have to disagree with some of your points on undertale, if you've ever played it (and I know you have) it barely even tries to break the fourth wall, only two characters ever address what you really are and even then it's subtle, they don't tend to go all in, there's a canonical character that they're addressing, sure they're supposed to sorta represent the player but I mean when they actually talk to the protagonist it severs the in game connection.
      But I mean if you want to push a game genre that you think is underrated there's only one thing you really can do.

    • @cloudshifter
      @cloudshifter 2 роки тому +4

      Agreed. Games are supposed to be interactive. This is the highest form of interactivity, immersing yourself into a completely foreign world.

    this game was a underrated masterpiece it made all of us more emotional at our screens than we all have been before but this game has 1 major flaw that I’m sad to point out but the main problem with OneShot is well
    about 50% of this whole game might be missed if you simply don’t check
    the solstice ending is a secret but also apart of the main game however his game is so good and emotional most players were able to get the solstice ending because when they got to the tower and they were then presented with the room at the start of the game they felt like they all wanted more they wanted more game to play because it was just so emotional and that cutscene of the starting room every time they opened the game just felt like a lock that just needed a key
    I cried whilst making this comment because it got me thinking about the time I was presented with the starting room and I started trying to play OneShot more because I was just in love with this game
