This major initiative of the Friends of the Mounted Police Heritage Centre and the
RCMP Veterans’ Association is dedicated to recognizing Members and Employees
of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) who have honourably served. They
are among Canada’s best and are indeed, the “Pillars of the Force”. The Pillars are
dedicated to front line personnel who answer the call to duty day in and day out,
often under difficult and challenging circumstances. The walkway bricks are
dedicated to those who provide that foundational support so critical to those on the
front line.
The “Princess Royal Walk”, flanked by soaring pillars aligning the front of the
RCMP Heritage Centre will be transformed into a living legacy with engraved name
plates and bricks celebrating those who honourably serve. As it grows and expands
over the coming years this initiative will also provide financial support to ensure the
legacy is shared with generations to come.
