I’ve been doing exactly the same job today, same Quooker tap and macerator. To connect on to the macerator waste you can use a washing machine stand pipe as the stand pipe is the same size. If I remember rightly from the last one I fitted if you remove the plastic nut and blue washer a normal p trap screws straight on👍
Great video Mark. Know your pain with the oddball waste fittings. Just when you think you're done and wham the waste kicks you.....
Keep up the good work mate.
Pain in the ass sometimes mate
Thanks for that, Mark. I love the way every time you say Qooker it sounds like you’re from Stoke! Those fitting instructions are ingenious: it’s always a good sign when a company puts a bit of extra thought into the instructions.
I get some many people say I’m from so
Many places around the country🤣🤣
Good stuff Mark
Thanks mate
Yet again, Mark another good video I do enjoy watching your plumbing videos. I’ve spoke to you before you give me so much confidence and do my own bathroom. I have now installed the bath the shower screen and about to attempt the toilet just by watching your videos thanks.
Thanks mate…… glad the bathroom job is going well buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
As always Mark great content. Shame didn’t get to see the finish items working. Thanks for your time, greatly appreciated.
Trust me…. I was properly annoyed……. But it’s coming soon
Loved it, but what a shame about the waste connection 👍
Thanks mate….. yep wanted to get it all done
The angle head's are awesome, you only need to think 2 steps ahead instead of 4👍
👍🏼👍🏼
Getting the granite people back sounds like a far better option
Yep I think so aswell
Nice job
Thanks mate
Hi Mark,
Another great film and thank you for the mention.
I have never fitted any of those boiling water taps, so it’s interesting to learn how they plumb in.
I have fitted some waste disposal units quite a while ago, they appear to be smaller these days.
That was a fantastic application for the press fit, especially with the hot still dripping.
As we have said before press certainly has its place in the tool kit without a doubt.
Take care and have a great remainder of the week, regards, Chris. 👍👍👍
Thought you might like a little shoutout Chris…😉👍🏼

Smashing video Mark 🙂 Shame about the waste pipe fitting needing an adapter, down here in London you could have got one delivered within the hour. Looking forward to part 2. 🙂👍
What company is now doing the deliveries??

Hi Mark. Great job as always. It as bad as you first thought. Still hard work. 👍
Thanks mate….. waste AS bad tbh
I thought what you connected was an Insinkerator / waste disposal? A macerator is one of those white boxes occasionally fitted behind loos etc. 🤷 When I fitted my waste disposal (same as the one you fitted) I didn't need an adapter, a standard trap connected no issue. x
Yes mate….. same thing just I said macerator….
We had some Dutch kitchen fitters come over for a Dutch client. One of these fitters looked at the quooker installation I'd done and said "no no is not good". He said leave it me. Now knowing that Quookers are from the Netherlands i was more than happy for him to rectify my work.
Upshot was that the housemaid opened the tap only to dissapear in a massive cloud of steam and scalding hot water , narrowly avoiding having her skin melted of her hand. Funny thing was this was from the cold tap !
Omg 😮😮🤣
No way. That’s not possible at all.
Hi Mark, great vid again mate. Never fitted a quooker tap before so found it very interesting. Do you need any additional training to fit one? I'm assuming they are pressurised because of the steam/boiling water they produce. The non standard sized waste is always a pain. Thanks again mate.
Thanks mate….. no additional training, just a good understanding of what’s needed mate👍🏼👍🏼
Love the subtle ploy regarding the angle press head's 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 dearest manufacturers please take the hint, after all the vids do promote your products 🤔👍🤣
I work with them mate….. it’s not a subtle hint…. 👍🏼👍🏼
I know it’s building regs , but I never fit drain offs under sinks , they very rarely get used !
I will if there’s enough room
Mark, with the overflow pipe going directly into the waste system, and not through the macerator, do you not get waste pipe smell coming back up the overflow pipe, as there is no trap?
No buddy…. You will see when it’s all connected there is an inline trap on the waste 😉👍🏼
If it’s a trap with the rubber closer in them , we know those as fanny traps 😀
I like the idea of these Quooker taps but there are so many extra joints compared with regular taps. Seems like a headache to me.
Also if you’re from Bolton, we’ve been saying quooker for years for cooker and bewk for book haha
Hahahaa…….
Take a look at the TriFlow taps….. just as good but half the price….. and also coming soon to the channel
Great video!
I think you left too much room for the sparkies to get a double plug socket or two spurs inside that cupboard - you should have left them a challenge!
Hahaah…. I’m too good to them🤣
Hi mark, you can do away with the air switch to the macerater and just use the fuse spur as on and off as per the instructions
You don’t want to be under the sink unit turning it on and off tbh mate….. bit of a faff
@@MJTiffPlumbing ahh didn’t know it was under the sink!
👍🏼👍🏼
I watched you doing the press on the cold feed - a Speedfit push fit would have been so much easier!! Pity about those EU sizes - I've come up against 12mm!
Not allowed speedfit pushfit on this job….. plus would rather use Press on it anyway👍🏼👍🏼
And yep… EU sizes are a pain
Looking very flash in the polo
Hahahah…. Thanks buddy, one of the company’s I work with.. Thomas Dudley
@@MJTiffPlumbing Used to have my name on Shirts. If someone doesn't know your name, they will call you Thomas. 😝
🤣🤣
Any advice? When coming to doing up the m10 tap connectors for some reason when I do up the 1 1/2 connector it undoes the m10 any way of making sure the m10 stays??
Never had that issue tbh mate….. maybe do then alternately
Tricky job but just enough room
Yep just about got it in….. nothing else is going in there though🤣
Just about to fit the same insinkerator unit . What is the adapter I need for the waste ?
I ended up using an inline trap mate 👍🏼👍🏼
Does the waste disposal need a trap?🤷♂️👍
Yep…… watch the next video when I finally get it connected up👍🏼
🤘😎🤘

Does anyone know about plumbing apprenticeships can’t find any
Go to your local college and ask👍🏼👍🏼
@@MJTiffPlumbingok I’ll ask tomorrow if I remember
Try the big company's. BG, for example, sometimes have apprentice positions. Either gas or with Dyno. Good grounding if you're struggling to find anything.
@@56ty78ui ok thanks mate
Does the quooker taps not have prv's now?
Some do but this one doesn’t…..
Nice job Mr Tiff only grumble that Cold main ballofix is going to be a bitch to get to if you ever need to in emergency lol
Always a grumble from somewhere 🤣😉….Stop tap is the other side of the wall mate, and I will be doing the work anyway
@MJTiffPlumbing I work for a commercial gas company, so we dont do a lot of domestic installs, but I love the channel and content. Keep it going, Mark
What a faff, I thought the waste disposal units were banned now 🤔 I'm not a plumber, what do I know 😕👍
Not that I am aware of mate….. where did you hear that??
Just had a Google,…… looks like it was due to come into force in 2023 but it’s moved to March 31st 2026….
Didn’t even know they were looking at it
@@MJTiffPlumbing a mate who recently had a new kitchen with the Quooker tap, his plumber told him it's a no no, maybe he just couldn't be bothered to fit one 😂
🤣🤣…. Sounds like it….
Yep it’s in the process but nothing solid till 2026
@@MJTiffPlumbing right, I can assume the plumber didn't want to fit one then 😂 I'll let my mate know 👍
