I literally put mine together last night. The 1.6-gallon one is quite a bit smaller and not as sturdy. It will get the job done but I don't think the one I have will last more than a couple years. Thanks for the video

I can’t quite envision how it works. I’ll be watching for that. Seems like there will be quite a bit of cleanup after you’re done.
Hi Jeanne, There actually was a fair amount of cleanup -- but that was my fault. When pouring the must (crushed grapes) into the press, there is a lag time between pouring and the juice coming out of the spout. I made a bit of a mess, and you can see that tomorrow in the pressing video. Now that I'm familiar with things it should be a fairly clean process next time -- but I would still do it outside 😊
Are those HD buckets food grade/safe? If so, that's a great, economical idea.
How did you decide on the press size vs. the fermentor capacity size? I have 50L tank and thinking if 20L press is enough or if i need a 50L press?
I guess it depends on how many times you want to press. You can just keep refilling it, but if the cost is not that different, the bigger one may be better in your case. 🍇😊
