Maybe it's common hair color in this world
Vertin have this grey-ish mint shade hair that match both in color and style (straight and put up) with Bessmert and Martha, other characters have normal white-grey hair (sorry for eng)
Spoiler Warning: Vertin said when she knew about the Storm Immunity spell "La unia cirklo", she stated that she was familiar about the language. I dunno but the language looks like Esperanto. This could be a lead to her origins and her mother perhaps.

Theory : In the very beggining when we learned that vertin was immune to the storm, Laplace and Foundation tried to clone her , some came out blind (Marta and Besselimenehdjdb (idk the name) but the catch is they Age very fast (that's why they are older then vertin) and when they were just cloned they were Transformed to random places around the world and time. . And that's why they are from diffrent places and times

I am very confused about Marta. Why was she highlighted so much if she’s not Bessmert? And whether she is or isn’t, why did she join the suicide beach party? Did she survive that? If so, how was this not noticed?
Marta and Bessmert are both going around doing a travelogue of places. One of them is surely the “friend from afar” who’s been mailing us the entire time.

Bessmert definitely is, but she's probably not Marta.
Up to the suicide party, I would have said they were obviously the same person, but now... my best guess is that Marta is just a red-herring to mess with us.

But I've always have this theory in mind
The storm does not kill, instead it teleports you to the different timeline.
What I think could be happening is that at one point in the future (Aka 1999), there was some kind of catastrophe that led to the creation of the storm/humans trying to tap into arcanist abilities, which led to the creation of the storm but also the fracturing not just of time but also space, creating multiple timelines that are colliding, and the storm is just trying to fix the messed up world by cleansing the timelines, not a theory or anything, just what I think might be happening.
We still don't know yet who is vertin mom but

Marta and Bessmert are the same person and yes she still alive somehow and she goes by the name dr.delos in chapter 8 . Her penname is urd(the goddess from norse mythology) . Igor also know her and said a few things about her

Since Marta got reversed intentionally in the storm of 1914, my theory is that marta/Bessmert has somehow found a loophole in the storm and is using it to teleport to various times;
Or maybe Bessmert is vertin in the future using the storm to go back to the past to fix her(vertin's )previous mistakes

It probably takes place after the events of the main story. We've never had a Storm that took us so far in the past.

Your theory of "Vertin's mom" being Vertin from the future reminds me of that as time traveling and being a timekeeper can cause rifts in time.
“Bessmertnyy” is Russian for “immortal”. “Marta” is a homonym of “martyr”.
I think more clues are in order due to Madam Z's boss knowing Vertin's mom. If she didn't note about Bessmert, I don't think she is Vertin's mom. However, they could still be related somehow. If Bessmert is immune to the Storm then that would be clear cut. There's definitely some stuff slowly being revealed but I do like the theory of meeting with past versions of oneself.
There's definitely something sus going on with Vertin, Bessemert and Marta.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the comments already but here I go.
I think that Bessmert and Marta and maybe the character in the Rimet Cup (idk I missed this event) are nods or representations of Moirai. What is Moirai? Idk man, google it. ...or you can I just tell you :) Moirai in greek mythology is the personification of fate/destiny in the form of three sisters.
It can be said that Bessmert and Marta are representations of Moirai. Evidence of this is presented by 6 during the events of chapter 7 when he says "I think fate knows its own fate better than anyone" when talking to Marta. Considering the connections that these characters have (Marta, Bessmert, Rimet Cup lady) I feel like they are this games representation of the Moirai.
We can go a step further and say that Marta is more akin to the sister that represents knowing how one meets their end. In greek mythology that sister is named Atropos. But what's very interesting is that in Roman, that equivalent sister is named Morta. Very similar to Marta!
All this to say, the theme this game has around their blind female characters seem to be tied to the mythology of Moirai. And for some reason they have a visual connection and verbal connection to Vertin. You can use this as fuel for deeper speculation and maybe look closer into Greek or Roman mythology to find connections. That might lead to some better theories around Vertin and her mother.
If you ask me, I don't know man. I'm too distracted trying to Insight 3 my characters to think about this!

Thing is, in a game where the narrative is the focus there's rarely ever a coincidence
You could rearrange Vertin's name to inVert so uh... Vertin is the inversion of Marta/Bessmert? (Idk lol)
Maybe Marta/Bessmert is always destined to be reversed but found a way to be a constant in all timeline by using her eyes on Vertin.
There's also the eye scar on Vertin and her being immune to the Storm. You could say she is the eye of the Storm.... Maybe Bessmert/Marta is actually the physical form of Storm invocation ritual. Vertin exists only to ensure the Storm exists as a constant everytime the world is reversed.
It’s interesting that their basically all linked by one thing “seeking knowledge” from Bessmert seeking out information on the Ask and Aquire arcane skill, Marta probably on the island to learn the teachings of Apeiron, and Vertin wanting to discover the truth and reason behind the ‘Storm’. Maybe nothing serious but something I’ve definitely noticed

I agree with the idea that Marta is Bessmert... i mean Marta is a name and Bessmert a surname.
I believe 'cause during the version 1.8; in Windsong's backstory we find Yelena, a girl of purple skin that later in the Vereintsam chapter, we see a similar person but in the name of 888.
As some of you may remember, Yelena was tried to join that famous researcher (i don't remember his name), but he was adjudicated for corruption. So it would make sense that she leaves Moscow and the study of Ley Lines (as the Institute closed and the line studying was decaying) and goes to Apeiron in a search, of maybe knowledge or purpose...

It is really strange that there seems to be a reoccurring theme of a blind Woman with a very suspicious hair colour to that of Vertin

One really interesting theory that I thought about would be that Bessmert, Martha and vertin are all clones of the original 'vertin' that might have genes or properties that are immune to the storm somehow.
Speaking from a gacha game pov, I do think cloning tends to be one of the trope that happens to be frequent in games to explain lookalikes.

So what if we have a take on the holy trinity here. Vertin is already given parallel to Jesus in the Last supper dinner in chapter 2. Is in this ideal Vertin is based off Jesus, Bessmert is based off of God the Father. And Marta is based off of the Holy Spirit.

Marta gets taken by the storm so you and they talk about the storm taking their bodies. So she would (of she survived) be as a Spirit.

Atticus, aka 6, reveals that there is another with the same soul number as Vertin... Urd.
This infers that Urd is Vertins mom, though she only visited the island in the past before moving on. Who knows where she went, or when, and how.
in the newest version marta is there too. I guess at least it confirms she's more important that it seems.
Maybe they have a reason to hide their eyes?
Remember when Arcana saw the scar on Vertin's back? the lines, moon and the eyes.
Vertin could possibly be a successful experiment from the genes of her mother unlike Marta and Bessmert and have some kinda special eyes
Also, Marta and Bessmert could've moved to collect data on places where the effect of storm varies & its effect on their own bodies too

If i was right, vertin can immune to the storm even she outsides the suitcase. In the chapter 5 when the storm arrived, merta and others was also disappearing. So that mean Merta may not Vertin's mother or herself in the future.
First i still confused by bessmert era from yenise she in 19 century especially in tzar ruling and they only end is 1918 after the war now that gap is to far even if they got keep in foundation (this is similar to dikke and the other 14 century character) but she trough yenise got connected... Now the second is there martha that everyone say is bessmert turning onto martha or something but remember IN RAYASKI there a hint of miss bessmert as "the blinds lady that tell a story" now Rayaski story line is abit confusing as name day is also make appearing on markus story so it the 6 "storm" in 1912 romania and not to mention they are not explaining 1.5 as time line... But i believe that rayaski is the "first" 1990 the next story after 1914 is 1990 (in 2.0 and next off) but rayaski is lack info if the storm "immunity" umbrella already have it way that means rayaski can be save but it's not so ether in one of 9 storm happened there one in 1990 something but after the first storm from 1999 to 1994... Man this is confusing... I hope there much more info in time line make it less confusing....

I stopped playing HI3rd after 1500 last Wednesday ... and yesterday I started playing Reverse 1999 and realy scratches the same itch. So far it realy looks like a wonderful game.

I got my own theory:
Let’s say Vertin IS Bessmert but Bessmert is the original Vertin meaning that when the first storm occurred and everything reversed Bessmert found Vertin as a baby (but she didn’t know it was herself) maybe that’s how we get Notes Shuori cuz it was Bessmert and Vertin in the same timeline
For Martha I guess maybe when the storm occurred it didn’t reverse too far and somehow got the younger Bessmert(Martha)then reverse again we get Vertin(Baby Bessmert)
That’s my theory anyways and also I would LOVE it if you guys can just prove me wrong or agree with me in some I would to start a convo in the replies ❤
