@@evanofthe711 Commando is THE guy to go to if you're looking to maximise proc chances. He has good firing speed and his proc chances aren't gimped, unlike MUL-T.
Some tips if you want them. 1. The timer does not really matter. Many people claim you should aim for under 5 minutes per stage, but there are videos showing how little time matters. 2. If you see little white round things on the ground, those are scrappers. If you put an item into the scrapper it will turn it into scrap. Scrap is prioritized for 3d printers, so you don’t have to leave it to random chance. 3. Shrine of the mountain just adds another boss to fight in the teleporter. Shrine of combat summons in elite enemies to fight. Shrine of chance is gambling for loot, and the shrine of sacrifice give you gold in exchange for HP.
I remember seeing God with my friends for the first time. Yeah, we got melted by the eye of Sauron he made, too. This game has lots of mechanics that rely on line of sight, so getting behind something where you can hide will save you from the eye. Great video! Love risky and dead cells. Keep up the awesome productions!
Also, the Beetle Queen did contribute significantly to your hypothetical demise. She's a summoner boss, and you were walking on the acid puddles she created.
You did pretty well for a first try, i would say that the one thing holding you back most of the time is just general knowledge that you would learn through time with the game like enemy attacks, what items do and shrines, which like i said would come with time. The only other thing I would say is don't disregard your dashes or teleports (movement skill for the survivor your playing), as just not moving to much from one spot and going for a brute force method on enemies doesn't work to well. I hope you had fun and hope to see more ror 2 in the future!!
"did you just throw a sun at me?" he did not throw a sun, you got to *feel* the sun (he starts doing that at 50% HP, the solution is to stay in the shade or you will burn and die)
a tip for those shrines you passed, the one who says "50% health" will take away 50% of your health (not your max health, only your normal so you can just heal) and give you a ton of money, you can then use it again but costing more and more health up to 3 times. the shrine that costs gold to use has a chance to give you an item, but a chance to give you nothing and the cost increases everytime. a shrine completely made out of gold enables a secret portal at the end of the teleporter, i'd recommend checking it out the shrine of combat spawns some enemies, wich can be used to get gold and the shrine of mountain will make it so theres 2 bosses but they drop double items, that increases exponentially
You played this really intelligently for your first time. I’m genuinely surprised at how far you got, it took me a while to get to stage 5 when I first started playing the game. But you tried to get an understanding of your character and the items you were picking up and you kept a level head throughout (even when you got killed by the dumb knowledge checkpoint attack at the end) which I can appreciate. As someone who has played the shit out of this game, I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy this, but it’s genuinely a great video!
Hi wish there were more videos of this style for Risk Of Rain 2. I love your narration and editing style! I’d love to see you play it again! It’s one of my favorite games!
Highly recommend 3 Artifacts - Command, Swarm and Sacrifice. Complete game changer, gets rid of the horrid RNG and makes the game far more enjoyable IMO. I could never go back. Command Artifact lets you pick whatever you want from loot drops (bye bye RNG, hello awesome builds), Swarm Artifact makes double the enemies spawn at half health (makes the runs feel a lot faster paced) and Sacrifice Artifact removes chests and instead you get random drops from enemy kills. Absolutely different game with these. Managed to beat the game several times on Monsoon thanks to these.
Turrets do follow you between stages. But when they do they spawn in a random location on the map, most likely in a small nook where they can do absolutely nothing. But they're trying their best
Love the 1st try perspective. Just wanted to add that turrets do follow you through stages, but i still wouldnt buy them. Also I've seen a lot of comments saying time doesnt matter, but its not that simple. You have to weigh whether or not you should spend the extra time looking for more items or not. i think for the first 3 stages you should, and then determine what you should do based on how youre feeling from there.
Yo! I started watching you thru the dead cells series and I love your content! I'm a huge risk of rain 2 fan as well so I'd love to see you continue your journey through the game
damn can't believe you actually beat it first try btw at the terminals with three items, you can ping them to get the name of the item, if you want to figure out what they are before you pick them up.
Okay, just telling you the scrappers will turn your items into a certain rarity of scrap, which you can turn in at the printers to trade that scrap for the item. Also the ukulele is very good. Chain lightning.
Turrets are a passive income investment. Get em early then you can have lil farm spots loot and let the turrets cook until an elite cooks it. Stage 4-5 they kinda drop off
9:52 that misses a good point, they too follow you from stage to stage, just not area to area. they hunker down in an area and stay there until the next stage.
As an engineer main the prox mines and the bubble shield are way too high, the shield blocks what feels like nothing, and the prox mines are just worse spider mines since in the later stages there will rarely not be enough enemies for them to not trigger instantly. Also I would say the stationary turrets are better because their effective range is so much higher. Lastly the primary fire for engineer feels terrible to use, except when you snipe a fast moving target, especially if they’re flying, and the harpoons just feel awkward when you’re in closed spaces / close to the enemy. Especially with something like grandparents where the target spots are around the head
Pls play the dlc it comes out in like 4 days. Also in my opinion you wanna get to the last stage by 30 mins or so the level under the stage is the final bosses level
You either go fast with okay ammount of itens or loot the whole stage, i loot everything and always reach moon with 40+ minutes (and always go to void, so its other 15 minutes) but never have many problems, just takes more time to optimize
if you care, the orb that the grandparent (aka god) summons is where the massive radius of fire that melts you comes from. the massive orb he summons above his head is all that needs to be avoided. get behind something that takes you out of the orb's line of sight and you wont struggle with god anymore
"guys that was just a practice run cmon guys trust meee" pretty good first attempts tho. ror2 loves to just kill you sometimes. you aren't just fighting enemies, you fight the game. a possibility of precipitation possibly a warning of weather a herald of hail perhaps maybe a forecast of flooding
i know i already commented, but i absolutely died laughing when you were fighting the grandparent knowing what was going to happen AHAHAHAHAHA. Correct reaction lmfaooo ah. Refreshing, lovely video as always ❤
People will tell you time doesn't matter. But it's important to note that this is only true if you take your time to get all or most of the loot on a stage. Otherwise you're just making the game take longer and get harder for essentially nothing. Obviously this can be mitigated by skill. But yknow, baby steps.
if you do end up enjoying the game theres a dlc with another final boss, and another one coming with at least 2 new characters, both dlcs add new items and characters
Yup, I expected the first try to be like that
nah that was a practice trust

You don't need to worry too much about time, it's best to get all the items and you'll naturally get faster at looting everything as you play more

The bleed debuff is stackable. So the more bleed you apply, the more damage it deals, so getting more bleed chance is absurdly good.
