We had two different helicopter companies spray potatoes here in NJ. This was back in the 70’s. It was amazing to watch them and see how close they would come to he trees at the end of the field.
Well you've done it again Mike this another thing I didn't know existed. I've seen airplanes spray fields but never even heard of a helicopter doing it. THANKS MIKE 👍👍👍👍
Great video Mike. Thanks for the helicopter footage of putting on fungicide. I think it can be pronounced both ways. Have a great week Mike. Keep the videos coming. I really enjoy watching.
I've never seen a helicopter spray I've seen the airplanes before. I think I e seen or heard the plane about everyday this week in my neighborhood I put fungicide on my wheat last year and I was in the barnyard working when they sprayed that pretty cool to see them that close!
Cool video! That pilot could never take his mind or his eyes off those power lines, definitely a white-knuckle ride! They were spraying for fungus, not funjus ,so i'm gonna stick with calling the product funG-i-cide.
I was in Olmsted County Minnesota last weekend and there was a helicopter spraying 2ft tall soy beans next to my son's backyard. Don't know what they were spraying, but the drift did sting my eyes. I was able to get a video with my phone. Never saw crop spraying done with a helio before. Around my AO it's always with planes.
I wondered that too, he said it holds 40 gallons & as fast as the helicopter sprays, I bet he has fills up a often. I also tried to figure out how long it took to refill. How many gallons do planes carry? Anyone know?
each frame has a maximum loading weight so more load less fuel its a trade off more load more fuel needed for spray time. one big calculation and maths. time over load and max all up weight.
@@raypitts4880 so, first they figure out how much product they need for the acres they’re spraying each trip, then adjust the fuel amounts to equal max weight allowance?
why dont they carry more product do you know the all up weight of a huey and the weight of this little guy pilots know their frame max weight stay down the pub and leave flyers to what they know. why do things have to be more.
You should play the music Of apocalypse now. That what it is for the neibourhoude. This managing Of fugicide is forbiden in France population are concern with the loose molécules spray in the air and carried by the wind to the populations. This poor guy on the Trailer will not live to long. What do you think ?
Are you sure that's a 40 gallon product tank or 400? Because a 40 gallon tank is not gonna cover a lot of acres per fill. Especially putting down 10gallon/acer

What a terrible tragedy today. Your videos are very special. They freeze a moment in time, when happiness and pride were shared that day. God Bless.
Yes it’s really crazy what happened. And I thought about this video after I heard the bad news. Prayers to the family.
That was awesome. I like that landing pad. That has to make refilling much simpler except he does only have the little pad to land on. That was great.
It has always amazed me at what nerves these pilots have flying around power lines or trees wether it’s a helicopter or airplane....
Mike, this is the coolest spray method I’ve ever seen! The landing on the spray truck reminds me of planes on an aircraft carrier.

"Calling for airsupport!" 😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Awesome helicopter spraying Mike
awsome! ive seen this done over in covington ohio! very slick

Another great video Mike can't wait to next
Great video Mike
outstanding job with the video, thks

or evan fungaside.
Great video Mike! You should get some footage of the planes doing some spraying!
That looks very cool👍😉
Well done😁👍
Man, I would love to ride with that guy. What a ride that would be!!!😃🙃
Very cool!
That is a dangerous job. Just had one go down near me individual hit the powerlines

Up load the video of it to your channel 😉
Enstroms fly like a good ol truck,,,
The crop dusters have been going hot and heavy for a couple of weeks here in Iowa. Mainly planes but occasionally you will see a helicopter.
Cool video
That was really neat, seems like they can cover ground pretty quick. How often did they fill the fuel tank? Another great video by Farmhand Mike!

love from india ❤️
Different kind of video.😊😊😊😊
Well now, you never mentioned there's two corn choppers.
I'm surprised they don't carry more product then they do. In the Navy we had UH-1 Hueys..they could carry a load.
Hueys cost about 10x per hour as this little guy with its 4 cylinder piston engine.
@@asmrhead1560 That is true also..
why dont they carry more product

Wish you would share the helicopter manufacturer and more specs, might be a Robinson.
I don't know the make or specs on this helicopter.
It's an Enstrom F-28 helicopter.
Braaaap
is fungicide harmful to a man if he is outside working in the lawn when it is being sprayed in corn field nearby?
Due to the lift capacity I am guessing the second seat would be the tank underneath
also a seat adds weight a penalty to flying now can add fuel to go further or more product to go further.
They do a lot of this by us but we lost one about 3 miles from our home a couple weeks ago. He ended up in power lines...very bad.
Yes that don't sound good.

So do they drive the truck with the helicopter attached to it or just buy the helicopter to where needs to go?
naa they drive down the road with the blades out
stay down the pub silly bloody question
How long before they have unmanned drones doing this?
They already exist
@@farmhandmike that should save a few lives 🙂
in china they use 8 blade machines and carry 15 kgs of product
I just wonder what it is doing to our health?
✌️🇧🇷✌️

I believe that are only putting 2 gallon an acre on.
That helicopter could not lift off the ground with 400 gals. of liquid
I think 1 -2 gallons is pretty common for aerial applications.
yes booby your right every frame has its max weight im sure they know the figures by now.
