mine survived a crash from a skate park ramp, crashed on pavement with pars to the ground, but I had bar end caps on.it will take some abuse, but not extreme force into something it will snap for sure, seen video of huge jumps, but I don't do anything too extreme so carbon bars are fine for me. but I bang up my wheels on stuff, so I did not dare to get Carbon yet. the alloy can take major abuse, and I can fix bends with an adjustable wrench. unless I grind the bars on rocks, or apply extreme force nose diving on a landing, the weight difference is significant, the SIxc feel great compared to the alloy. But I think I will go for a better stem, that combines both strength, stiffness, and weight, atlas stem is quite bulky. If I get rich would go for carbon, but I am fine with Hope pro 4 Enduro 29.
@@thelongestnameinthecomment9677 my bars feel nice, but, I haven't tried all carbon and and alloy bars, so I don't have a favourite, but I have nothing against alloy bars.
not surprising on a mountain bike. an alloy rim would've just bent and could be straightened back but that's the risk you take when you want to go for maximum lightness! seems like this would be totaly fine on a road bike if that's the kind of abuse it takes to hurt them.
MitchOnTwoWheels 3 years is pretty good then! I’ve just installed the 30mm inner width rim without cushcore as it wouldn’t fit. Hoping it lasts a while!
Carbon rims that lasted 3 years of abuse, gotta give them credit! Far from "pieces of sh*t" Im approaching 3 years on my 38 MM LB rims.
+Jonathan Lao Sweet! Not bad eh.
Running low psi on carbon rims in general is pretty risky, that’s why they have procore and rim protection
"Poor chinese carbon dream" ! LMFAO 😂🤣🤣🤣 that's hilarious
Lol!
Great vid.
I will stick with alloy wheels, Only carbon I have now are Sixc 35mm bars, but bars are not as prone to harsh impacts as rims are.
+Johannes Nilsen Cool. There’s a few articles circulating on aluminum vs Carbon handlebars. I’m on the fence personally.

I would rather have alloy bars they feel like you have more control over the bike

@@thelongestnameinthecomment9677 which bar is it? Which carbon bars did you try? Which stem did you try the bars on?

one issue with a modern MTB wheel is the bead probably won't seal for tubeless after you've bent the aluminium back
On their website they state the conditions for a discount on a second purchase if your first product breaks.
+Fervent Dissent I'll have to check it out!
They also have warranty now
100 dollars last 3 years what do you expect?
What is the width of tyre?
2.5
Did you run Tyre inserts?
Nope. Just tubeless.

Bang for the buck is great! I think you you’ll enjoy them. 30mm rims are perfect these days.
how it happen, how long you use it
carbon BS , marketing hype
no... THOSE carbon rims are a joke. You get what you pay for.
Yep haha.
