That one part when kokichi smiles before he gets crushed and Kaito Cries... jeez this is bad for my heart- If these two aren’t some of the bravest characters in the whole series then my life is a lie.
I read this comment and I honestly started crying. Throughout the entire series I haven't shed real tears for these games until I got up to chapter 5 in v3. They really were the bravest, Ouma giving his life and Kaito risking his all for the sake of ending the killing game. It really makes this all too real when you think about what lengths you might have gone to in order to stop a tragedy like this from continuing if you ever got put in this situation.
I know what is going on you see in the world of danganrompa, dangenrompa is just a show and they started to use real people in the killing game So when he says the real kokichi he means the one in the real world.
I was so sad when my two purple beans died. However, after watching this, I realized that Kaitos wish to see and be in space came true. I also realized that Kokichi was a big part of solving the mysteries. His room is like, full of past evidence and cool ideas and he has it all goin on. Both of them really impacted the group in different ways, however, they both had the same motive. To end the killing game. THATS WHY I LOVE THEM MBkhlvfs CRIES

Imagine being Kaede in chapter 1; You thought you killed the mastermind, until Monokuma came in. You were just staring at the body of the person you (thought you) killed. You began to think horrible thoughts about yourself because you killed an innocent person, and completely knew that you were going to die at the trial. And this is why Kaede is one of my favorite characters.
I loved that part. Kaito and kokichi were polar opposites but in the end worked together to make a plan that may not of worked out the way they wanted it to, but damn did it send a message
Out of all the games I never grew attached to so many of the characters as this one. Which is why it was sad to watch them die my 5 that I wanted to survive were Keebo, Miu, Kokichi, Kaito and of course Kaede
I was so angry when Miu died! I was so sad! And I wished Kirumi lived but the end of her class trial and the execution are so good! It was there when Kirumi became my favourite character. I like determination! I also loved it on Celeste.
When i discovered that Tsumugi had killed Rantaro, and not Kaede... Now, im full of despair, bcs the best girl (and Shuichi's waifu) was executed by NO REASON.
I feel the exact same way! I was crying for 2 hours after seeing her execution. The thing that makes it worst was that tsumugi only died from being crushed, kaede was killed by being hanged and then later crushed. I really wish tsumugi had a way worse death.

When you realise that Kaede literally gave her life away and didn't used the perk just to don't break Shuichis heart and confidence. She risked her life for sake of people she meet just few days ago. She's the true hero, idk why people are so toxic to her. And then they defend Ouma who did literally same thing but for sake of himself beating the game and sacrificing 2 more people.
It's pretty great how well the song fits with the darker tone of V3. And the sketchiness of the artwork actually adds to the effect, I think. It also does a good job of telling the story through still images.
Damn, and Kaede did all of those to find and kill the mastermind to end the killing game to begin with... Tsugumi, how evil and smart can you be framing Kaede and executed her for the crime she did not commit

I don't know.... I just feel sad but I dont cry for them... Maybe because I dont love that characters as much as I love characters in V3 (But I dont know if I'm gonna cry in DR3 because I didn't see that ...)

People are reallly torn when it comes to V3. IMO this is the best game from the franchise. THH was the beginning, establishing the story and more importantly Monokuma and Junko. GD was very good improving a lot things from its predecessor. V3 though was the culmination of the franshcise. The character interactions are great and even plain Tsumugi for me is a great mastermind. Let's not forget that all the info we got for the outside world were from the Flashback Lights and Tsumugi herself so we don't really know the truth of things. The concept of Truth vs Lies is a better than Hope vs Despair one
Theory: Tsumugi lied about the personalities of the DRV3 characters being her creation and that they were a part of the Killing Game by choice. Reasons: 1. Both Shuichi and Kaede remember being kidnapped in the prologue, BEFORE getting their first false memory. They don’t remember being kidnapped AFTER getting their first memory. 2. Shuichi, Kaede and Rantaro introduce themselves AS Shuichi, Kaede and Rantaro BEFORE getting their first memory, even though Tsumugi claims she has created their characters and even blurs out their names in the audition tapes. 3. Even though Tsumugi claims that they all have been big fans of the Danganronpa Series, no one recognizes Rantaro, an apparent participant of the previous game BEFORE getting their memories wiped. 4. Besides Kaede and Rantaro no one also seems to know anything about what’s going on beside Danganronpa being such a big thing in the outside world according to Tsumugi. (Rantaro knowing what ’16 students being trapped’ might mean, Kaede recognizing the Monocubs, but also sounding fearful and not happy how it was later portrait by Tsumugi.) 5. As far as we see the characters in the prologue before getting their false memories, they are exactly like they are later, after they get the wrong memories. 6. Tsumugi claims she isn’t able to cosplay real people because she gets cospox when she does it, she also claims that ‘Kaede Akematsu’ is a fictional character she’s created. Still, she gets cospox when she tries to cosplay Kaede which means it is either the opposite, that she can only cosplay real people or she lied completely about the cospox. 7. The floor in the audition tapes is the same as one of the stages in Tsumugis Cosplay Lab, hinting she had faked the videos and it was herself, cosplaying the characters to create the videos. 8. Keebo also might not be completely created by Team Danganronpa. If that would be the case, there is no reason for him to be in the prologue, BEFORE they get the false memories, in a different outfit, without the metal caps on his ears and also without the antenna. (Because there is no way he could hide THAT long antenna underneath a hat like that.) 9. Overall, there are hints that Keebo is not a Robot at all. He gets a backache in one of his Free Time Events, he didn’t had any robotic attachments in the prologue (like the antenna, the metal caps in his ears, the black lines on his face), he faints like everyone else when they open the door to the outside world, even though, as a Robot, he shouldn’t need any oxygen, he can sweat and blush (sprites), the flashback lights work on him, even though it doesn’t make sense to work on a machine. Which means he could’ve been a normal boy who was later transformed into a Cyborg by Team Danganronpa. (Yes, the hydraulic press safety function doesn’t work on him, but it was also never tested on anyone else besides Keebo, so there is no way telling it actually works at all.) 10. Tsumugi also claims that everything went that way because she wrote the script for it. But there is no way she planned Kokichi to plan a murder where Monokuma couldn’t know who the culprit was. 11. Some of the talents simply can’t be completely fake. It may be possible to make someone the Ultimate Anthropologist by adding false memories, because that talent is simply about knowledge, but even though your brain remembers how to fight, there is no way to be an actual Assassin or Aikido fighter when your body isn’t used to doing things like that. The same goes for talents like Ultimate Artist, Inventor or Pianist. It’s like writing with the opposite hand. Your brain might know what to do, but the handwriting still looks like shit. 12. Tsumugi claims that the Hope’s Peak Arc is just fiction, but also calls herself a ‘Cosplay Cat Criminal’ as a hint to the Copy Cat Criminal term, which is used for a criminal who copies the work of another, real criminal, in other words, Junko. (Apart from that, Shuichi hint’s at the end, that Hope’s Peak might actually have existed.) 13. Even though Tsumugi says that everyone is watching Danganronpa in the outside world, the viewers stop watching it pretty fast at the end, hinting that it might’ve been just some illegal underground event and only watched by some few people who, after that, might also realize it is wrong to cast such a show.
While playing the game I felt the death of every single character as if they were actual persons. I love the game because I got so attached to the characters. This game really tests my ability to cope with loss...
This is the one DR game where I genuinely loved all the characters. So seeing all of them die made me really sad... Especially the Kokichi and Kaito case, Kokichi is my favorite character and Kaito is my 3rd. (Gonta takes second. Sorry Kaito, you’re just not enough of a gentleman. Lol jk.)
Kokichi was the real MVP. I do believe that he was sorry about Gonta and when he cried for him in the end, I felt so bad even after he went crazy, because I knew he was just lying about not feeling anything towards him. Remember that he can be seen most of the time together with Gonta, making plans together. Kokichi trusted Gonta the most out of all the students since he knows that he wouldn't betray him, given his personality. He was the one who confirmed the existence of the Nanokumas, with the Bugvac(he asked to be made from Miu) and a microscope(it probably came from the warehouse and you can see it on the collected evidences section when you enter his room), when Gonta told everyone about the little bugs. He trusted Gonta that's why he went through all this trouble. He tried to help everyone when he planned to do a motive video watch party. This would prevent Kirumi and Ryoma to do something stupid but it failed. Kaito and Shuichi acknowledged it after Kirumi's case. He helped Himiko when she was still bottling up her emotions after Korekiyo's case. Saying that it's bad to lie to yourself, which is ironic coming from him. He saved both Kaito and Maki. Kaito, because of the antidote, and Maki, because he let Kaito take his life. Kokichi's plan would've worked but in the end Shuichi found the truth. Kokichi probably held so much pain from seeing his friends die and all he could do is lie to himself. "I see you all as my friends."
Ough.. Ow.... My heart... Jeez... Why you do dis..? This crushed my heart dammit! (It was just too beautiful) 1:54-2:04... *Crushed heart* - 2:10-2:15... *Dead inside* 2:16-2:32... *Is crying in ball*
V3 is probably the saddest addition to the franchise if it comes to deaths, THH was good and all the characters were likeable, but the only one who I grew attached to in THH who died was Chihiro, GD had even more likeable characters and I was sad for everyone's death, but then anime pretty much tossed away of anyone from them being even a little dead... While V3 had both characters that I was attached to and deaths that were real.
Spike Chunsoft did a great job with the cast of V3! I'd totally have a ball with Rantaro and Kaede seems like a lot of fun to hang out with! Ryoma may have a criminal reputation, but his bark is WAY worse than his bite, and I guarantee that Kirumi's a gal you'd be falling for. And then there's Tenko and Angie, who are cute, even if they can both be a pain in the neck sometimes, and Korekiyo's the only one I'm unsure of, since he seems a little salty to me. Miu on the other hand, is simply breathtaking, and Gonta's one character everyone should give a shot. I know of quite a lot of people who have a crush on Kokichi and Kaito's just out of this world. Tsumugi's one rock-solid cosplayer and Kiibo's just a blast to watch! And naturally there's Shuichi, a protag who's to die for; Maki, who has a truly killer aesthetic; and Himiko, who's simply magical in every way.

As someone who watched this video on repeat when it was stuck on 999k, I can safely confirm that I’m the 1millionth viewer. This video deserves 10 times more than that though 😩
This is beautiful! It looks like one of those 90s animes and it made me think of a potential Danganronpa V3 animated series and it would be fantastic as a series, even without the Danganronpa context.
V3 will always be the best game so far, tbh, i really wish they took the time to make an anime for it :,)) All the characters were really interesting and unique, all the deaths hit in a certain way, and the reason i really feel as if its the best game, is that 1. Its a somehow nice way to end the series, (though im sure we'd all want more games, or an anime for this one. This first reason is quite controversial) 2. The characters all have a special place in the series, and our hearts. Each one, they all represent something. Ill name them out for you kinnies and stans (these are based of my opinions, feel free to say yours!) :: Rantaro - I love how aloof he was in the beggining, but served great use at the end. I'd really love to see him in action on his game, before he served title of ultimate survivor. :: Kaede - She represented an optimistic personality even in times of despair, she was the character we all needed, however, it also shown that sometimes, you yourself fall in the hands of your own words. :: Shuichi - I feel like, the way shuichi presents himself with development is amazing. But, it shows that things like that dont come easily all the time. :: Ryoma - Even if the dude is extremely underrated, i love how his objective is to know what he wants to do. Even if he comes from the "i have nothing left in my life" perspective. :: Kirumi - She represents such calm and wise composure until her trial. Its like the better version of those ch. 3 trials tbh. Although, it also shows how the calmest of people, when they have an objective, they will fight for it. Even if they die. :: Angie - Shes very controversial, but shes still kinda memorable. Sadly i dont really have representation for her, but im extremely curious what her self before game was like, its like saying "was she an atheist or smth?" :: Tenko - She represents a strong heart. Even if the "degenerate male" thing got a bit annoying, the way she shows her love for himiko is really great. :: Kork/Korekiyo - Also very controversial. But i go for the theory he was manipulated by his sister to do such things. If you believe that theory, it represents plenty of how certain things affect a person. :: Miu - I loved her, i honestly expected her to be annoying because of her tactics, but i feel like shes the better version of that LOL. I love her courage to attempt and kill the mastermind, she really showed much of her talent. :: Gonta - He represents how in the game, he proves that even the most innocent can kill. Given a motive or reason. Gonta was a great character, i love him as much as sakura, they both deserved their stans and kins. :: Kokichi - Even though he served the antagonsit role, he gave of a big "hit in the heart" comment when he said that the truth is filled with such despair. They wanted it, so there they have it. He represents how he had to lie to himself, and it made everyone believe he was the evil one. Despite it all being a lie. :: Kaito - This dude was the best thing to exist, even if his aggresive encouragment seemed to make a few fans annoyed, he really represented bravery. This man smiled, despite him slowly dying. :: Himiko - Her character development is great, after tenko's death, she really hit. She represents how she has to somehow live for her friends, and live for the continuation of their spirit. :: Maki - She held a lie in the first part, but eventually was exposed by kokichi. I think maki represents regret in her past, shame, and how there are people who will come and help you get over it. :: Tsumigi - she was a good mastermind, not much i feel about her though. :: Kiibo - He showed how (imo) deep influence can be on a person, remember when tsumigi said kiibo was programmed to do what people wanted him to? i believe the writer wanted to show deep meaning, or i really just thought alot about it If you have your own opinions, leave em in the replies! repost this if you want, incase you have a similar thought!

People are reallly torn when it comes to V3. IMO this is the best game from the franchise. THH was the beginning, establishing the story and more importantly Monokuma and Junko. GD was very good improving a lot things from its predecessor. V3 though was the culmination of the franshcise. The character interactions are great and even plain Tsumugi for me is a great mastermind. Let's not forget that all the info we got for the outside world were from the Flashback Lights and Tsumugi herself so we don't really know the truth of things. The concept of Truth vs Lies is a better than Hope vs Despair one

Theory: Tsumugi lied about the personalities of the DRV3 characters being her creation and that they were a part of the Killing Game by choice.
Reasons:
1. Both Shuichi and Kaede remember being kidnapped in the prologue, BEFORE getting their first false memory. They don’t remember being kidnapped AFTER getting their first memory.
2. Shuichi, Kaede and Rantaro introduce themselves AS Shuichi, Kaede and Rantaro BEFORE getting their first memory, even though Tsumugi claims she has created their characters and even blurs out their names in the audition tapes.
3. Even though Tsumugi claims that they all have been big fans of the Danganronpa Series, no one recognizes Rantaro, an apparent participant of the previous game BEFORE getting their memories wiped.
4. Besides Kaede and Rantaro no one also seems to know anything about what’s going on beside Danganronpa being such a big thing in the outside world according to Tsumugi. (Rantaro knowing what ’16 students being trapped’ might mean, Kaede recognizing the Monocubs, but also sounding fearful and not happy how it was later portrait by Tsumugi.)
5. As far as we see the characters in the prologue before getting their false memories, they are exactly like they are later, after they get the wrong memories.
6. Tsumugi claims she isn’t able to cosplay real people because she gets cospox when she does it, she also claims that ‘Kaede Akematsu’ is a fictional character she’s created. Still, she gets cospox when she tries to cosplay Kaede which means it is either the opposite, that she can only cosplay real people or she lied completely about the cospox.
7. The floor in the audition tapes is the same as one of the stages in Tsumugis Cosplay Lab, hinting she had faked the videos and it was herself, cosplaying the characters to create the videos.
8. Keebo also might not be completely created by Team Danganronpa. If that would be the case, there is no reason for him to be in the prologue, BEFORE they get the false memories, in a different outfit, without the metal caps on his ears and also without the antenna. (Because there is no way he could hide THAT long antenna underneath a hat like that.)
9. Overall, there are hints that Keebo is not a Robot at all. He gets a backache in one of his Free Time Events, he didn’t had any robotic attachments in the prologue (like the antenna, the metal caps in his ears, the black lines on his face), he faints like everyone else when they open the door to the outside world, even though, as a Robot, he shouldn’t need any oxygen, he can sweat and blush (sprites), the flashback lights work on him, even though it doesn’t make sense to work on a machine. Which means he could’ve been a normal boy who was later transformed into a Cyborg by Team Danganronpa. (Yes, the hydraulic press safety function doesn’t work on him, but it was also never tested on anyone else besides Keebo, so there is no way telling it actually works at all.)
10. Tsumugi also claims that everything went that way because she wrote the script for it. But there is no way she planned Kokichi to plan a murder where Monokuma couldn’t know who the culprit was.
11. Some of the talents simply can’t be completely fake. It may be possible to make someone the Ultimate Anthropologist by adding false memories, because that talent is simply about knowledge, but even though your brain remembers how to fight, there is no way to be an actual Assassin or Aikido fighter when your body isn’t used to doing things like that. The same goes for talents like Ultimate Artist, Inventor or Pianist. It’s like writing with the opposite hand. Your brain might know what to do, but the handwriting still looks like shit.
12. Tsumugi claims that the Hope’s Peak Arc is just fiction, but also calls herself a ‘Cosplay Cat Criminal’ as a hint to the Copy Cat Criminal term, which is used for a criminal who copies the work of another, real criminal, in other words, Junko. (Apart from that, Shuichi hint’s at the end, that Hope’s Peak might actually have existed.)
13. Even though Tsumugi says that everyone is watching Danganronpa in the outside world, the viewers stop watching it pretty fast at the end, hinting that it might’ve been just some illegal underground event and only watched by some few people who, after that, might also realize it is wrong to cast such a show.

This is the one DR game where I genuinely loved all the characters. So seeing all of them die made me really sad... Especially the Kokichi and Kaito case, Kokichi is my favorite character and Kaito is my 3rd. (Gonta takes second. Sorry Kaito, you’re just not enough of a gentleman. Lol jk.)

Kokichi was the real MVP.
I do believe that he was sorry about Gonta and when he cried for him in the end, I felt so bad even after he went crazy, because I knew he was just lying about not feeling anything towards him. Remember that he can be seen most of the time together with Gonta, making plans together. Kokichi trusted Gonta the most out of all the students since he knows that he wouldn't betray him, given his personality.
He was the one who confirmed the existence of the Nanokumas, with the Bugvac(he asked to be made from Miu) and a microscope(it probably came from the warehouse and you can see it on the collected evidences section when you enter his room), when Gonta told everyone about the little bugs. He trusted Gonta that's why he went through all this trouble.
He tried to help everyone when he planned to do a motive video watch party. This would prevent Kirumi and Ryoma to do something stupid but it failed. Kaito and Shuichi acknowledged it after Kirumi's case.
He helped Himiko when she was still bottling up her emotions after Korekiyo's case. Saying that it's bad to lie to yourself, which is ironic coming from him.
He saved both Kaito and Maki. Kaito, because of the antidote, and Maki, because he let Kaito take his life. Kokichi's plan would've worked but in the end Shuichi found the truth.
Kokichi probably held so much pain from seeing his friends die and all he could do is lie to himself.

Kaito just got rekt by another universe, your burn is probably the canonical reason Kaito got that illness.

V3 is probably the saddest addition to the franchise if it comes to deaths, THH was good and all the characters were likeable, but the only one who I grew attached to in THH who died was Chihiro, GD had even more likeable characters and I was sad for everyone's death, but then anime pretty much tossed away of anyone from them being even a little dead... While V3 had both characters that I was attached to and deaths that were real.

Ryoma may have a criminal reputation, but his bark is WAY worse than his bite, and I guarantee that Kirumi's a gal you'd be falling for.
And then there's Tenko and Angie, who are cute, even if they can both be a pain in the neck sometimes, and Korekiyo's the only one I'm unsure of, since he seems a little salty to me.
Miu on the other hand, is simply breathtaking, and Gonta's one character everyone should give a shot.
I know of quite a lot of people who have a crush on Kokichi and Kaito's just out of this world.
Tsumugi's one rock-solid cosplayer and Kiibo's just a blast to watch!
And naturally there's Shuichi, a protag who's to die for; Maki, who has a truly killer aesthetic; and Himiko, who's simply magical in every way.

It looks like one of those 90s animes and it made me think of a potential Danganronpa V3 animated series and it would be fantastic as a series, even without the Danganronpa context.

All the characters were really interesting and unique, all the deaths hit in a certain way, and the reason i really feel as if its the best game, is that
1. Its a somehow nice way to end the series, (though im sure we'd all want more games, or an anime for this one. This first reason is quite controversial)
2. The characters all have a special place in the series, and our hearts. Each one, they all represent something. Ill name them out for you kinnies and stans
(these are based of my opinions, feel free to say yours!)
:: Rantaro - I love how aloof he was in the beggining, but served great use at the end. I'd really love to see him in action on his game, before he served title of ultimate survivor.
:: Kaede - She represented an optimistic personality even in times of despair, she was the character we all needed, however, it also shown that sometimes, you yourself fall in the hands of your own words.
:: Shuichi - I feel like, the way shuichi presents himself with development is amazing. But, it shows that things like that dont come easily all the time.
:: Ryoma - Even if the dude is extremely underrated, i love how his objective is to know what he wants to do. Even if he comes from the "i have nothing left in my life" perspective.
:: Kirumi - She represents such calm and wise composure until her trial. Its like the better version of those ch. 3 trials tbh. Although, it also shows how the calmest of people, when they have an objective, they will fight for it. Even if they die.
:: Angie - Shes very controversial, but shes still kinda memorable. Sadly i dont really have representation for her, but im extremely curious what her self before game was like, its like saying "was she an atheist or smth?"
:: Tenko - She represents a strong heart. Even if the "degenerate male" thing got a bit annoying, the way she shows her love for himiko is really great.
:: Kork/Korekiyo - Also very controversial. But i go for the theory he was manipulated by his sister to do such things. If you believe that theory, it represents plenty of how certain things affect a person.
:: Miu - I loved her, i honestly expected her to be annoying because of her tactics, but i feel like shes the better version of that LOL. I love her courage to attempt and kill the mastermind, she really showed much of her talent.
:: Gonta - He represents how in the game, he proves that even the most innocent can kill. Given a motive or reason. Gonta was a great character, i love him as much as sakura, they both deserved their stans and kins.
:: Kokichi - Even though he served the antagonsit role, he gave of a big "hit in the heart" comment when he said that the truth is filled with such despair. They wanted it, so there they have it. He represents how he had to lie to himself, and it made everyone believe he was the evil one. Despite it all being a lie.
:: Kaito - This dude was the best thing to exist, even if his aggresive encouragment seemed to make a few fans annoyed, he really represented bravery. This man smiled, despite him slowly dying.
:: Himiko - Her character development is great, after tenko's death, she really hit. She represents how she has to somehow live for her friends, and live for the continuation of their spirit.
:: Maki - She held a lie in the first part, but eventually was exposed by kokichi. I think maki represents regret in her past, shame, and how there are people who will come and help you get over it.
:: Tsumigi - she was a good mastermind, not much i feel about her though.
:: Kiibo - He showed how (imo) deep influence can be on a person, remember when tsumigi said kiibo was programmed to do what people wanted him to? i believe the writer wanted to show deep meaning, or i really just thought alot about it
