While I objectively liked the song, I did find the part where words just repeat over and over for like 3 stanzas quite a bit of a chore to sit through.
Still, it's quite a nice song that comes off as sort of cryptic, hope you keep doing your thing!
BetaBox Yeah I can definitely see why you think so! The song was originally at a higher tempo so that didn't last as long, and I didn't want to change the composition to account for the tempo change lol. I'm glad you like it overall, though!

This is amazing! My one peice of criticism is that the words repeat for a bit too long. But otherwise absolutely beautiful!
Hmm okay. To me this sounds like someone went through abuse and changed due to the trauma, and cant help but mourn the loss of their old self. They sacrificed everything about themself to make their abuser happy, and now that theyre alone, theyre just a shell that isnt truly alive.

Okay, I know this is like, super late, but this gave me an idea for a short story.
So, this man goes back to the town he grew up in after years of being away. He meets the girl that he had a crush on when he was a kid. She tells him to meet up with him on the beach every day/night at 5 A.M. He happily does so.
Each time he meets up with her, his feelings return a little more, until on the last day of his vacation, he decides to tell her. She pauses for a moment, before telling him that she can't go with him. He's heartbroken, and asks why.
She tells him that she's a ghost. She committed suicide by drowning herself in the sea. She died at 5 A.M. She stayed in this world because she always felt the same way towards him. While she's leaving this world, she tells him not to feel bad for her, because she never lived her life. She tells him that she loves him and drifts away.

i know this song is ancient by this point and you likely wont see this, but as a aspiring composer, i was wondering what all you use to make the instrumentals for these more aesthetic songs, because the instruments have such a unique feel to them
H.c Remixes Hi! I use studio one so some for the instruments are specific to that program, but I normally just use a grand piano and whatever woodwind (in this song I ended up going with a saxophone) fit a the mood. I won't have my laptop for about a week so I can't say what the background windy sounding instrument is aha. I also use drum kits that are really wide and open sounding to give it a more ambient feeling. I hope this helps!
(Mixing also helps a lot - I like to put slight phasers on chords to give them some movement and I like putting slight flangers on lead instruments)
