Indecisive? You are now my go to girl to watch paint! That is me in a nutshell! Thank you!
Beautiful painting. Love the misty rocks in the background.
Beautiful! Loved watching you work en plein air.
Anna, I love the way you narrate as you paint. It really gives the viewer a good perspection on how you are achieving your painting and what you are experiencing. I have learned a lot from this video about plien air painting which I am trying to learn and struggling with. You are a great instructor - Thank You
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed!
Such a wonderful painting. ❤❤❤
Much more interesting than the real scene.
Wow, thank you!
Bravo! Your demonstration served to convince me to tackle something similar along our Central Coast of California. You've got the ability to think, talk and paint. Good job!
😊
Wow! What a nice video! Love the narrative and camera work! All that was very nice, but your painting was the cherry on top. Way to go!👏🏼 thank you for sharing. I will be checking back to see your future works.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I'm loving that pallet arrangement and the glass.
Great demo and lovely result. You really captured the atmosphere and distance.
You are clear and articulate in your descriptions and decisions! This is very helpful in understanding your color perspective and composition. Am also impressed by your confident brushwork. Very nice demo and final painting. I agree that Oregon coast is exceptionally beautiful.
Just great
You did a great job for it being a plein air painting. You did better than every plein air painter in the San Francisco gallery right now. Well done!!
thx for taking me with you ;-)
Nice painting
Interesting to watch your process. Thanks for sharing. Lovely painting.
Thank you for watching!
You are a very good teacher and painter. Your explanations and sharing your thoughts as you decide things is so helpful and fun! Thank you
My first video of yours and I’m very impressed! You caught the feel and emotion of the landscape. Nice 👍🏻
Fantastic! The atmosphere 🤩. I can feel the light, salty spray in the air!! 👏💕
Thank you so much, Stephanie!
bravo..new sub. i like the different rock/seascapes, also your hat is cool.
thank you!
Excellent demo. Keep up the good work.
Wonderful work! Thank you!!
That was so good! I throughly enjoyed watching you paint this beautiful setting. You explained all your steps, colors and thoughts. Thank you for sharing your experience with those of us that love beauty, for one thing , and strive to improve what we do, striving towards our dreams. In this video, I felt closer to sharing this experience, than any other video. It was truly a wonderful time spent with you while you painted. Thanks again. Looking forward to the next one. 😊
I appreciate the kind words, Sandra! These videos are a labor of love and I'm glad you enjoy them!
Great stuff.
Yaaa! I have watched Emily’s video several times, now to binge on yours! Thanks!
Emily does some amazing videos! Thank you so much for watching mine!
@@AnnaRoseBain Yours are incredible also!!! Thanks for posting!
I really learn so much as you talk through your painting process. That was a difficult painting but you did it so well. Thank you so much for sharing your plein aire painting adventures.😊
Thanks so much, Nancy! I'm glad you found this helpful and that my continuous monologue didn't bore you to tears. 😀
Your painting turned out gorgeous, and I absolutely loved watching your process! So incredibly helpful. PS regarding your difficulty drawing trees, as you have said, I recommend cutting down all trees, and then there will be no more difficulty painting them, for anyone.
Haha! You and my dad would get along awesome. He is a certified tree farmer.
@@AnnaRoseBain Lol
Lovely painting and enjoyed watching. You really captured the atmosphere!
That's beautiful! This is the first time I have watched one of your videos, and I love your style, I'll be watching more!
Thanks so much, Lora! I appreciate that!
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Nicely done! A difficult value scene for sure. So relaxing. You are very teacherly articulate. Which added much. When I paint, I find it very hard to talk at the same time. To an audience. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow beautiful woman. Beautiful painting. Wonderful job! I was there about 6 months ago... Taking drone reference shots for aerial oil paintings... Best of luck, happy painting!
Nice artwork from a beautiful artist !
Great painting! Thanks for sharing ❤
Hi Friend!! This is Beautiful painting! well done!
I love your style! I have learned a tremendous amount from watching this tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you found it helpful!
Love your spirit! For trees, block in the darks and look for "bird holes" to let the background come through.
She has my Manfrotto tripod. The exact one lol. Good work Anna, from a retired artist.
Beautiful painting, an enjoyable video, thank you. 😊
thank you, Zoe!
The painting came out great- you really nailed the atmosphere
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed watching!
Hermosa mujer, hermosa pintura , mil gracias por compartir su linda experiencia.
Just discovered your channel, and I especially loved seeing and hearing your entire process, including trial and error and making changes in your composition. Really inspiring, thank you!
Thank you so much!
Great video. I enjoyed it tremendously
Glad to hear it! Thank you!
0.oregon is very beautiful place!
The easiest way for me to decide where to paint is to determine whether the view I see will fit well on one of my canvases. Its surprising how often i find views that don't fit, so it's a good way to reduce the indecision.
That is a very good point. Agree 100%!!
You did such a good job!! I love it!
Watching you work out this scene is priceless. Thank you! Subscribed :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Outstanding. You inform so we'll as you paint. I learn so much❤
Thank you!
nice artblog, you got my subscription
Yeah, don't use a fan brush. You just need to figure it out. I use a different brush for any one tree. But I use acrylics, so I do it differently, I suppose. I LOVE to paint or draw trees. Probably because I used to (a million years ago), climb them. Anyway, I look at how the light hits them, especially the ends. Painting the dark first, and then light after that, to get the highlights. My husband and I went to Oregon coast in 2018, and it was magical! Hope you get some good paintings!
Amei, isso é muito bonito, ficou maravilhoso, você pinta muito bem, parabéns . From Brasil.
Beautiful. Have you tried water mixable oil paints?
Thank you! I have not tried them very seriously. I have a bunch sitting in a drawer somewhere... 😛
와~ 멋집니다!
Very nice
Excellent! I love it, thank you. And what easel are you using?
Thanks again, very nice.
Thanks, Dean! I was using my Fly on the Wall easel from Prolific Painter.
@@AnnaRoseBain thank you!

Anna Rose Bain i give your video a large thumbs up, this is splendidly magnificent, marvellous and superlative, i create music and videos as well, i'm completely aware everything you want to achieve in life takes effort and hard work, enjoy your day
That is so kind of you! Thanks! Yes, I probably spent three hours just editing the first 45 seconds! :-)
❤
Love your video! I would like t get started painting but I can't draw.
Thanks! Drawing skills definitely help but with landscape you can always fudge it a bit. ;-)
@@AnnaRoseBain thank you for the encouragement.
You can learn! Just like learning anything else... don't be afraid of throwing paper away! Would you expect to play violin the first time you picked one up>
@@Shuvah2Him thank you so very much for your encouraging words, I will try to learn.
@@Mike-ux9qz If I can do it, YOU can do it! :)
✨️🙂👋🌷
What easel system are you using?
It's from Prolific Painter.

What is that light blue again? "Video blue"?? :O never heard of that color do i hear it right?
That’s it! From Vasari.
Do they not sell sleeves on the west coast?
Sent by Roxy
Could this style be done with gouache?
I'm not sure! Don't know till you try. :-)
Do you use any drying medium?
Not for plein air
Arctic ?
I am watching for the unorganized time …. :). This is totally awesome. Shared again. Spellchecker help!!! :) for the “umpteenth time”
Not sure what you mean by “unorganized time,” but thank you! 😊
We don't really care about what you think we want to know what colors you're using. And mediums
That’s all in the video description, my friend.
The Oregon coast is mesmerizing but please do your thumbnail sketches BEFORE you start painting!!
Vasari? Jesus, you buy expensive paints. No no no no no no. Lol
That's so odd. I find portraits to be more difficult for me than Landscapes. I can do a portrait, but to capture the emotion, essence, spirit of the person; to make them apart to be alive and living their best life, I find very difficult.
