Just as the great Paco de Lucia confirmed that traditional Spanish flamenco goes well with jazz and other things, the Brazilian Paulo Bellinati, who turned 70 this October, proved that the classic Spanish guitar with nylon strings is very versatile - fusion and modern music. Jazz suits him just as well as classical music.
You can view hundreds of versions on You Tube of Bellinati's Jongo, a piece that was written in 1988 and has become a real gem in the custom guitar repertoire since John Williams recorded it in the 90s.
