as someone with ASD, I **HARD** disagree with Sam. I had zero clue who I was and was always trying to mask by copying others. Unfortunately, as a lesbian (the only thing I was 100000% sure of), I was drawn in by the left and from 2016 to mid 2018, was convinced I was non-binary, which then led me down the trans rabbit hole. I am so fortunate that my "therapist" at the time dropped me which meant I couldn't get hormones. THANK GOD.

@@needspersonality I do think that ASD (autistic is what I'm reading, so if I'm wrong I do apologize), are being over represented in the trans ideology. Especially with the non binary and gender fluid areas. Masking may be a big part of that, as well as more deeply feeling the body dysmorphia of adolescence. It's hard when you are different. I have ADHD myself so I do understand to a point.

I have ASD (extremely mild tho) and ADHD and have suffered from gender dysphoria since I was like 8 or 9, before ever seeing any of this shite. (I was diagnosed by a conservative therapist who treats detransitioners and is trying to help mr feel less dysphoric) I was exposed to an extremely depressed, DID faker, and a few non binaries and trans people when I was like 13 through a discord community. It really messed me up and overall worsened all my issues and caused me to suffer from depression for a couple months. I'm 15 now and now only after much therapy have I recovered. When I was in that community though there was a lot of and I quote "autistic gay trans femboys" all of them are severely confused and use venting as the only way to recover. The largest thing I noticed about them was the sheer amount of other issues they had going on in there life, and the fact that they really didn't suffer from gd but something else entirely. Don't know why they want the disorder that near constantly occupies the mind of the sufferer but hey, victim points and wanting to be accepted. But seriously though how are these kids getting treatment? Or even thinking it's the best idea? ....... Honestly get these people help, and stop claiming my mental disorder, gd isn't a fun time.

The online self diagnosis pushed by everyone online really isn't helpful at all and only causes more suffering in 99.99% of cases (coz hey there is always an outlier lol)

I am center left and my politics haven't changed since the 1980s. It's just that since I haven't moved to the far left that people call me conservative. I don't support Trump or Republicans in general. I just don't believe in woke or gender ideology. I believe in abortion rights as well as women's and girls' Title IX rights. Both parties have betrayed women in different ways.
I’m not going to tell you to be pro life but you should really look into how abortion and birth control have created DIRE consequences throughout western society and our economy and continuing to DESTROY the family unit (and mental health and accountability and social norms) within America. But again, there is NO moral spiritual ethical logical or even legal reasons to condone the murder of an unborn child.
And 75% of abortions are simply due to “financial” reasons. Also, 60% of abortions are preformed by women (well and doctors) who have already received an abortion.

I was never "woke" myself, I started to wake up to things way back in 2010 or so, but what really did it for me was the realization that all the "woke" and "proto-woke" types of people seem to believe they are special for not being hateful or bigoted and they are different while the rest of the world is just hateful and all that stuff. in reality, most people are not hateful and do not have a problem with others, even ones they disagree with. it seemed to me that the people who fell for the BS thought they were one of the few fighting the good fight, when in reality they were being brainwashed to believe they are above other people and nearly everyone (or at least nearly all white people) are racists and sexists and not enlightened. I understood that I was not special for not hating others, that is how basically everyone in my generation was raised, so it caused to me start questioning things since mainstream media, politicians, universities, and corporations all seemed to want to pretend that most people were white supremacist bigots and they were somehow the underdogs fighting back against it, when in reality they represented and held pretty much all power and influence over society. it just did not add up, and so I quickly became aware of the con that was going on, duping people into this harmful way of thinking that is now what we refer to as "woke'. no idea why i wrote so much in this response, but I am sure youtube will delete the comment anyway since I am saying something true and against the regime. maybe you or somebody else will get to read it before that happens tho.

I'm an 18 year old woman turning 19 this month. I had switched between far left views and conservative throughout the past 4 or so years since my family is Republican and I had a rebellious phase. I believed in all of the "infinite genders" and sexualities, and even identified as trans myself despite never having sex dysphoria.
Now I am a registered independent and would consider myself as a moderate or (REAL) liberal. I'm definitely not left-wing but I'm not right-wing either. I keep away from the corrupted two-party system.

As someone who came out before Ellen. I remember when you could be fired for being gay. You could be evicted for being gay. Friends of mine would get gay bashed. As a now trans man who was a truck driver with a female name because I believe in keeping the name my parents named me. I’ve never had an issue traveling to so many states. Even in the coal mines of West Virginia where I swear I heard dueling banjos, I was never harassed or anything. When you have to show your ID at many places traveling around, no issues. I’ve never felt safer as a gay or trans person as I do now compared to what it used to be. When they keep bringing up anti trans bills or this and that. They’re leaving out it’s mainly aimed at anyone under the age of 18. When I transitioned you had to go to psychotherapy for like a year before they would give you hormones and my therapist wasn’t trans or nonbinary or new age. But with a diagnosis of gender dysphoria since 13 years old when I decided to change it up at 31 years old I understood the risk and consequences of transitioning. I understood discrimination. I understood rejection. I understood I might lose friends and family. I came out as a lesbian at 13 back in 1994 so i understood a lot of being perceived as a menace of society. Now I’m that grumpy old man…. Back in my day…… damn kids today…..

About autistic people transitioning.
I once had an online discussion with someone who showed me a study claiming autistic people are more aware of their gender or something like that. The study was based on self assessment.
They got upset when I asked about specifics, because autism is a spectrum.
Claims like these are very dangerous because of issues like alexithymia - a problem with identifying, understanding and describing emotions.
Can autistic people be trans? Of course! But they need to be properly assessed. Unfortunately many get so attached to their trans label that they avoid addressing their autism because they want to transition asap.
I am autistic, with ADHD tints, and I think the reasons why more autistic people are trans are several, first you have the absence of self sense, autistic people mask, they don't know who they are, in what makes them themselves because they're always imitating and putting on an act, in a search of self identity they end up finding this QIA+ philosophy which makes them feel welcome will all the "just be you" bs. Second, in the US specifically people who are autistic instead of seeking REAL therapy they are given gender care, hormones, mastectomy, etc. Thinking transitioning will cure their mental struggles (I went to an ideologist therapist and I told him I was uncomfortable with my period and he suggested me to come out as a boy, I'm Argentinian and transitioning is a process that takes years).
Hormones, surgeries and changing their names are the new therapy, they're bringing temporal solutions to a deeper problem. I'm autistic and I don't struggle with gender, I just understand feminity different, because being a girl (or a boy) isn't about a rigid stereotype. But these people who claim to be loving and tolerating are the most sexist.

I haven't watched Arielle that long, but I've seen older videos and recent ones where she's totally fine with trans folks and shes FRIENDS with trans individuals. I really hate these "creators" who go for low hanging fruit with zero research. Its so easy to be a creator and give so much false information to speak to people who are easily manipulated without further research. This happens a lot with many different subjects right now.
