Good video thanks so much!!
hi there!
i hope you have a nice day.
The way this frog was dissected involved cutting the skin on the ventral side almost like door hinges, or parallel flaps. I was once dissecting an earthworm, and used this method in order to more fully pull back the skin, and was told it was an incorrect method. Is it common practice to make small incisions after a lateral cut?
Regarding the “door” method of incising the frog: There are several ways to open up a frog specimen to see its internal organs and none of them are necessarily right or wrong. We felt that the method used in this video was the best way for this type of specimen so our viewers would have the best opportunity to see the process and visually follow the steps.
Regarding the small incisions following a lateral cut: someone who is experienced with dissections will know how deep and how long to make incisions, but for the sake of those who might be watching who are inexperienced, we wanted to stress the fact that small incisions have less chance of damaging internal organs beneath the area of incision.
Damn. You did everything so well and careful🍦.
I have a question what is pyloric sphincter do?
